Description
English: This is a red cedar pair of Dlidlam (interior house posts) from Gilford Island in BC, Canada. It dates to 1880 and were carved to represent grizzly bears. This pair belonged to Kedi or Dick Webber, a Dzawada'enuxw head chief of the Lelawagila na'nima, or clan. It today adorns the main hallway of UBC's Museum of Anthropology in Canada.
