@Jeff G.: but the guy is not the producer of the series. Nor the official account of the Venezuelian TV which have decided to publish the serie in the public doain. Panam2014 (talk) 20:22, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
@Panam2014: I get that, thus I am inclined to {{Vd}}. However, you did not date your tags, including the year, month, and day parameters, causing inclusion in Category:Deletion requests - No timestamp given. {{Delete/doc}} (which is transcluded by {{Delete}}) makes it quite clear that those parameters are required (at least in English).   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 20:28, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
@Jeff G.: done. Panam2014 (talk) 20:48, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
  •  Keep Per {{PD-VenezuelaGov}}. Súper Bigote is produced by en:Venezolana de Televisión, a state television channel, as stated in its category (Category:Súper Bigote) and its Wikipedia article. Venezuela's Labour Law releases all works from the public sector into the public domain, as stated in the license tag. --NoonIcarus (talk) 21:24, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
@NoonIcarus: no proof that the series producted by Venezolana de Televisión are under free licence. We must see the serie's credits. It is possible that there are others productors. The public channel is not the Venezuelian government. They are separate entities. Panam2014 (talk) 21:52, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
What are you talking about? Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) is the Venezuelan government because it is owned by the government. We already have precedents for allowing uploads of the channel (Commons:Deletion requests/File:2022-08-02 Sesión Asamblea Nacional de Venezuela.webm), and it is easily demonstrable that the series was created by VTV: . --NoonIcarus (talk) 22:30, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
@NoonIcarus: it is not proved that this is not a coproduction. Why not checking the opening? Panam2014 (talk) 23:01, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
I speak native Spanish and I can assure no credits.  Keep because of government work [Very obvious government work: it's propaganda].

PS: Newer episodes (not uploaded to Commons yet, are made with AI, so will be ineligible for copyright). There is an official Youtube channel with more epiosdes. TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 22:27, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
Comment - The series doesn't have any credits, the actual producers (if any) are anonymous. ManuelJünior7000 (talk) 05:10, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
Producers might be anonymous, but As we can see in the last episode, the episodes are also uploaded in the official Venezuelan Government Youtube channel. It's not an isolated video, but a Commons practice with all Superbigote videos.
So, it seems obvious it's a Venezeluan government work (keep). TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 16:42, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
Keep - Per the mentioned template and deletion request. Even if the producers are actually different from VTV (state-owned channel), they are anonymous, while the Government serves as the public representative of the "Súper Bigote" products because they distribute and promote them, so this counts as a production "generated under an employment relationship in the public sector —or financed through public funds—". ManuelJünior7000 (talk) 05:23, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
Keep per the other keeps and specifically the one from 16:42, 25 March 2026. If and when the producer is found or asserts their rights, we can reassess. That may be around January 21, 2028 (they may be hiding from a big bad orange-haired monster until then).   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 18:54, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

When making a decision, it's important to consider whether deleting it will benefit or harm Wikipedia users. Please note that the author doesn't use commons.wikimedia for free hosting: the hosting is used solely to store all language versions in one place, so changes can be tracked and the most current version can always be accessed. Furthermore, the file is used in articles on this topic in various languages, so I don't see any benefit in deleting it, but I do see a clear harm.
@Uncle Bash007: You left positive feedback for en:Military rank correspondence system – please leave positive feedback for SWO as part of this project, considering the possible release of an English-language version of SWO. JurKo22 (talk) 14:02, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
Partial Keep; I think it can be useful for the Ukranian people (that is if it only applies to the Ukrainian people) and it does not violate any copyright laws! Nevertheless, I don't have much knowledge about the military.Uncle Bash007 (talk) 07:09, 12 January 2026 (UTC)

Weak delete as being somewhat low-quality (for example the "Greenwich Tavern" sign is actually "Greenwich St Tavern"; compare against the Google Street View version). @~2025-38142-24 I just updated the details to reflect the correct information, please review. Alexmarie (talk) 04:18, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
@Alexmarie It looks like the Flickr page is a fan site that collects photographs of the artist from multiple sources, and there's no evidence that the photographer agreed to a Creative Commons license. A COM:VRT verification is required. ~2025-38142-24 (talk) 04:22, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

old png earthing system diagrams

A year ago I uploaded modified copies of some SVG electrical earthing system diagrams. (I wasn't aware at the time that I could make a request for permission to directly replace them, so they got uploaded as new files and I then requested deletion of the originals, which was accepted).

Anyway, I've just now discovered that there are also these separate old PNGs based upon the original SVG files. They're obsolete and warrant deletion. A few non-English pages were using them, which I've switched over to the newer SVGs. In the Italian case they'd actually translated one (the sixth in the list), so I modified my SVGs to make them translatable and added Italian translations, to ensure that that one was suitably replaced.

Hunting around I've just found what appear to be a slew of other translated copies, so I'll also see what I can do about adding further translations to my SVGs to allow for the deletion of those too, but perhaps we can start by deleting these. --DiscreetParrot (talk) 07:38, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

I've added more translations to the new SVGs. Consequently I've now updated the French wiki to use them, and added the obsolete French files to the list here. Still got to deal with some other language versions. DiscreetParrot (talk) 10:03, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
Norwegian copies taken care of and added to list. DiscreetParrot (talk) 10:13, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
And now Polish. DiscreetParrot (talk) 10:37, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
And now Russian. DiscreetParrot (talk) 11:32, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
And now Swedish. DiscreetParrot (talk) 11:47, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
And now finally German. As far as I currently know, that's all of them. DiscreetParrot (talk) 12:30, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for the updates DiscreetParrot.
I am not sure if we should delete File:IT-earthing de.svg, though.
I would actually prefer to leave it in the article in addition to the new svg because the newer version File:IT-earthing.svg is so similar to File:TT-earthing.svg that a layman might find it hard to discern the difference. The old image could be titled "A common way to install the IT-system without the neutral connector" while the new image might say "Grounding of the source can optionally be established through an impedance".
KaiKemmann (talk) 04:12, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
Following fresh discussion on the IT image talk page, I've tweaked the IT image slightly, with the distribution neutral now being drawn with dashes, which might or might not change your mind.
I'm not convinced by your suggested descriptions, since they seem to conflate the two choices as one. The optional distribution of the neutral is an entirely separate network design choice from whether the transformer is connected to earth through a high-impedance or not connected to Earth at all. Per {{PD-AR-Photo}}, Argentinian photos are copyrighted 20 years from publication. This photo is published in 1988 and copyright in Argentina lasted until 2008. But Commons files must be free in USA as well and USA demands 95+1 years from publication. The files can be restored after copyright expiration in 2084.

This is 1975 photo and if it was published in the same year (1976 is too late), then the photo was in public domain before URAA date 1996 and USA does not demand 95 years from publication. Taivo (talk) 15:53, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

Delete It is not only a photo, the literary works (the news piece) has 70 year pma protection. Note that the heading doesn't claim the photo was taken in 1975, it claim that the photo on the right is an except of an artwork created in 1975. Günther Frager (talk) 02:11, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

Left part of the logo is complex. Complex logos can be in Commons only with VRT-permission. Taivo (talk) 17:49, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

Oppose Since it is nothing more than a collection of ellipses with the lower part missing, your claim that it is a complex logo does not seem justified and only comes across as a forced interpretation. Amaterasu 1-1 (talk) 01:00, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
"Lower part missing" makes the logo complex. Cutline of the ellipses is not straight, it is not constantly curved, it is totally irregular. Taivo (talk) 12:23, 10 January 2026 (UTC)

@VietPride10 There is not VRT review tag at all present on this or other versions. The copyright owner needs to do that VRT process if VRT is the route taken to release copyright SecretName101 (talk) 01:26, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
@VietPride10 an alternate route would be them publishing it with a commons license release. Either on a web page indicating they are the copyright holders releasing it under a commons-compliant license, then tweeting from their official account the photo and text indicating they are releasing it under that license (I have seen done), or them uploading it to their official Flickr account with a commons compliant license SecretName101 (talk) 01:28, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
