Summary
| Description |
English: The German Zeppelin (airship) probably LZ 12 (military number: Z III) (April 25, 1912 to August 1, 1914) with incorrect year from Library of Congress. If the 1907 date is correct then this can only be the LZ3 (military number: Z I) with a rudder added after its first flights (but was LZ3 ever modified that way?). Other possibilities: LZ 4 (June 20, 1908 to 4 August 1908) had a rudder; LZ 6 (August 25, 1909 to 1910).
English: Original information from Library of Congress source:
Original file has handwriting: "ZEPPELIN. III." in white and "872-12" in black. TITLE: Blimp, Zeppelin No. 3, in flight |

The picture shows LZ 6 in 1909 before it was lengthened in February 1910. LZ 3 had no such rudder at the stern.
