Le programme principal affiche les données via une instruction Display, de manière inverse quand on entre une valeur via les champs de saisie sur l'écran via l'instruction Input.
Le programme communique aussi avec des bases de données : insert insere une valeur dans la base de données, Select prend une valeur de la base de données et la met dans une variable du programme. Update combine les deux, ça sélectionne une valeur et la modifie, au moins en partie. Reports est un type de fonction spéciale qui communique avec les sorties ce qui permet d'imprimer le résultats du programme sur papier ou de les enregistrer dans des fichiers sur l'ordinateur.
