Images of Ghazipasha

Stamp images

Illustrations

Delete all: because Ghazipasha's uploads are clearly an evasion of copyright by making false claims these images are his own work. Obviously the stamps were produced by the postal administration and are all copyvios because they are images of stamps for which there is no proof, per Commons:Stamps/Public domain, that they are in the public domains as claimed by the user and they were all deleted from the en wiki as copyright violations a few days ago for the same reason. The minimum copyright for stamps no specifically PD is usually 50 years (though PD-old of 70 years could apply) and none of these stamps are more than 50 years old, so they are clearly copyright images. The last four illustrations are also claimed to be the uploader's own work but that seem highly suspect (3 of them look like photographs of paintings) considering his claims to copyright of stamps. The only image that clearly passes PD is File:Sultan Saleh Shibam.jpg which is covered by en:crown copyright which last 50-years so 1946 is ok. Ww2censor (talk) 20:57, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

  • As Yemen predecessors more-or-less, it's quite possible that Yemen inherited the copyrights, and according to Commons:Licensing, copyright only lasts 10 years. So one could make a case that these are actually PD now. But without that research and retagging, they have to go. Stan Shebs (talk) 06:33, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
