 Keep per Commons:DM. All of these photographs feature the entire airplane as their main subject, and the paintings are nothing more than minor incidental reflections.

Commons:De minimis describes the law as it was when introduced in 2012, but the 2020 amendment expanded and clarified the scope of the provision’s application.

"As long as the use of a copyrighted work is not the main purpose but merely incidental to another activity, and that use is considered qualitatively or quantitatively minor by general social standards, the essential justification for incidental inclusion is preserved. In such cases, it is considered desirable to allow a broad range of activities."

"Among the everyday activities commonly carried out in daily life, those that are socially accepted as legitimate and reasonable, and that would not normally be expected to unfairly harm the interests of copyright holders, should be treated with greater flexibility under the expanded provision. Taking a photograph of a child holding a stuffed toy is also not illegal."

"This amendment is intended solely to allow flexible handling within the scope in which the essential justification for incidental inclusion remains valid."

The Mickey Mouse is based on the 1928 Steamboat Willie version, which is already in the Public Domain. 6D (talk) 01:56, 9 November 2025 (UTC)
I hope that somebody can summarise the evolution of the en:Mickey Mouse design over the years. I'm not fully convinced that the JAL art is based on a pre-1930 version. At the very least, it's not the Steamboat Willie from 1928: per the EN-WP article, "The Opry House (March 28, 1929) was the first time in which Mickey wore his white gloves.", and Mickey obviously has these gloves on the plane livery.
I tend to think, without evidence at the moment (just a gut feeling), that it's more likely that the Mickey designs used on JA602J are from the 1940's or 1950's. Regards, Grand-Duc (talk) 05:27, 9 November 2025 (UTC)

 Delete in terms of Commons:DM. When the main subject is an "aircraft with copyrighted material" itself, I think Commons:DM cannot be applicable according to Japanese Copyright Act, because the material (Disney characters in this case) are too much important in the context of subject selection. ワンポイントとして使われているキャラクターが写り込むのであればともかく、機体全体にラッピングとして施されている場合、その機体の写真を撮影する行為は「キャラクターが施された機体」そのものを撮影していると解釈せざるを得ず、日本法の規定に照らして適法だということはできない（「当該作成伝達物において当該付随対象著作物が果たす役割」が大きすぎて正当な範囲とは言えない）と考えます。また仮に日本法を根拠にした場合に利用可能だとしても、米国法の法理としてのデ・ミニミスは通らないでしょう。 Mzaki (talk) 03:23, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

An obvious copyright violation. A low-res photo of the person that died in 1990 claimed to be made by a 18-year old user. Tin eye finds a number of this photo on websites, in collections like this. Uploader can not even specify the date and place. --Beaumain (talk) 09:00, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

There's no proof the file is licensed under anything. Links provided in the description do not have any license information. Futhermore, the image is said to be by an "Unknown author", which basically rules out that the author could publish it under any license at all. Beaumain (talk) 18:39, 8 November 2025 (UTC)

It is true for materials owned by Mos.ru, but the site can't claim ownership of an image by an unknown photorgrapher found somewhere on the web. It doesn't even mention the name of the creator, which is a license requirement. The image wasn't originally published by Mos.ru anyway. TinEye finds uploads as old as 2008, and a collection album with this photo was published in 2005 (Mos.ru was founded in 2015). Beaumain (talk) 18:46, 8 November 2025 (UTC)
