The Goodyear logo should not be on Wikimedia Commons. The stylized boot with a wing makes it above the threshold of originality. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 09:50, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Furthermore, trademark laws (European directive, US case law) allows the use of a trademark, including a logo, to refer to the trademark itself. This is allowed provided the use is necessary, honest, and not misleading (for example, it must not suggest a commercial link or endorsement if none exists). Within this usage restriction (which is definitely not a "free use"), a reproduction of a logo can be made without authorization nor payment (which is all that is needed for being in a Commons repository).
