Update request for File:NI Railways network.svg
Hello Rcsprinter123
Belfast Grand Central is set to open for train services in just under a month. All train routes across Northern Ireland will now start and terminate at this new station, including the Enterprise service from Dublin, which will be relocated to Belfast Grand Central. The Portadown-Bangor line will be split into two separate lines: the Portadown/Newry line and the Bangor line. It's also worth noting that the official name of the Londonderry line, as stated by Translink NI, is the Derry~Londonderry line. Additionally, Newry is also part of the Northern Dublin Commuter line https://www.irishrail.ie/IrishRail/media/Timetable-PDF-s/Connolly-DART-timetables/15-Dublin-Dundalk.pdf. More details can be found on the Translink NI website. https://www.translink.co.uk/service-incidents https://www.translink.co.uk/corporate/media/pressreleases/bgcsupdates

Update request for the Ankara–Sivas high speed railway line
Hello, Rcsprinter123.
Can you color in File:Rail transport map of Turkey.png, File:Rail transport map of Turkey-m.png and File:Rail transport map of Turkey in Turkish.png, the high speed railway line between Ankara and Sivas in red, and the same line in File:TCDD.svg and its duplicate File:Tcdd network.png (also the Istanbul–Eskisehir section) in dark blue? The en:Ankara–Sivas high-speed railway opened on April 26, 2023.

Hi.
These maps need to be updated, for the aforementioned reason, also because they are used in Wikipedia articles. I live in Ankara and have travelled on the Ankara-Sivas YHT line. It is fully operational.
Can you please send a reply? A "yes" or "no"?

Hello, Rcsprinter123.
Can you update these abovementioned maps, not only because they are obsolete, but especially because they are used in so many Wikipedia articles as "up-to-date"?

https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:NI_Railways_network.svg
On the Portadown line, starting from Belfast Grand Central, Hilden train station comes before Lisburn station.
Previous versions of the file had the correct order, but in the latest update, the station names were rotated slightly so all names could fit on one side of the line. In doing so, however, the Lisburn and Hilden train stations accidentally swapped positions. 92.40.183.95 15:08, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for bringing this to my attention - I have amended the file. Rcsprinter123 (talk) 16:21, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
Railway map
Hi – I was wondering how you were able to make your lovely railway maps! I've been having a problem trying to make some of my own. Any software that you were using would be very helpful. Thanks! DimensionalFusion (talk) 18:49, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hello DimensionalFusion - it's all only with Inkscape, which you will already be familiar with. Let me know if there are any specifics I can advise on. Rcsprinter123 (talk) 20:26, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Rcsprinter123 – that's very surprising! Just a couple of questions for you then
- - From where do you get the background/static image? Obviously OSM, but is there a specific place?
- - Where do you get the path for the railway diagram – and how is that stylised?
- Thanks for your help! DimensionalFusion (talk) 22:37, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
- Transport Map layer on OSM. Stitch the tiles. Look up info about the specific line. Often there is a relation on OSM which will show you the whole route but sometimes it needs working out. Draw on with bezier tool. Clip the page around that once drawn. I tend to take most of the additional elements (text, circles etc) off previous maps to ensure consistency, but will keep the main line at 3.8 px. Then just tweak all until happy. File:Cambridge line.png
Hi there,
Sorry to bother you but I have no idea how to update the line maps and saw that you have created the one for the Cambridge Line. Cambridge South is opening between Foxton and Cambridge very soon, so it would be helpful if you could add it to the map (maybe greyed out for now with small text saying "opens 2025"). For reference, the station is at (52.1742, 0.1312).
Thank you for your time, JacobTheRox (talk) 12:31, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi JacobTheRox, I have uploaded an amended version of the map. I see you made an extra version yourself at File:Cambridge Line (updated).png but I think it would be best if that could be deleted (CSD G7) to avoid confusion. It's also been incorrectly labelled as your own work. Rcsprinter123 (talk) 10:47, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
File:Oxfordshire UK local election 2025 map.png
Hi,
Just to let you know, you added that this map was derived from Oxfordshire UK electoral division map 2013 (blank).svg - this was inaccurate, it's a new map based on LGBCE shapefiles because there's a new set of boundaries. I've corrected the error. Regards, CipherRephic (talk) 19:22, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
- OK, thank you. Could you make an equivalent to the 2013 blank map reflecting the new boundaries to assist with future work? Rcsprinter123 (talk) 22:46, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
- Afraid I'm a bit busy at the moment so it's not something I can do at this precise moment but will have a crack at it as soon as I can. Best, CipherRephic (talk) 13:15, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

Thameslink route map update
Hey! Thanks for all the great work that you do! I'm a regular editor of the Thameslink wikipedia article and have recently been bringing the article fully up to date. One of the only things left that needs updating is the great pink route diagram that you made. In my view, the branch to Orpington and the small branch to King's Cross both need to be marked as limited service. This is because services to Orpington only run on weekday peak hours and services to Kings Cross only run on Sundays (a truncation of the services from Peterborough that usually terminate at Horsham throughout the rest of the week)
Thanks - FlyingScotsman72 (talk) 12:49, 10 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hi FlyingScotsman72, thank you for the request. I've made an update which hopefully addresses everything you think is needed. Rcsprinter123 (talk) 20:40, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hey I really appreciate this and the Orpington branch is great, but the King's Cross part is incorrect. The limited service shouldnt be on the connecton between Finsbury park and St Pancras/Central London which is where you have put it. The limited service should instead only be on the tiny section that goes into King's Cross station itself.
- If you could also increase the length of the tiny line into King's Cross slightly so it'll be easier to see, that would be amazing too!
- Thanks again FlyingScotsman72 (talk) 16:48, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, I misunderstood your request. I've done another update to reflect your clarification. Thanks, Rcsprinter123 (talk) 20:25, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- Didn't see this until now! It looks amazing, thanks so much legend :) FlyingScotsman72 (talk) 21:15, 22 October 2025 (UTC)

File:East West Rail.svg - minor update need
Please add en:Cambridge East railway station (on the line to Newmarket, lower left of image, just east of the U bend). Thank you. It is not yet a firm and funded plan, so I will understand if you don't see it as a priority. JMF (talk) 16:58, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi JMF, perhaps give me another message when it is a confirmed and funded proposal. I think that's what the diagram should show. Rcsprinter123 (talk) 21:44, 28 November 2025 (UTC)

Image overwrites
Please do not overwrite images you did not create, like File:Coleshill gate.jpg, with AI-generated upscaled versions. These tools have an unfortunate tendency to generate inaccurate details when upscaling images. Omphalographer (talk) 05:26, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
Question
you made a khwarazmian empire map back in 2023 and I was wondering how you make it? Shadow. 547 (talk) 20:03, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- If you mean File:Khwarezmian Empire 1190 - 1220 (AD).svg, it was a vectorisation of the pre-existing File:Khwarezmian Empire 1190 - 1220 (AD).PNG likely using borders taken from an existing world or regional SVG map. Rcsprinter123 (talk) 22:06, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- What? I don’t understand what you are talking about I am talking about File:Map of the Khwarazmian Empire.png and I wanna make one like that but for Ilkhanate and I like the colors aswell the brown Shadow. 547 (talk) 17:06, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- Sadly I had no involvement in that file or style. Rcsprinter123 (talk) 17:11, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

On your Chiltern Railways map
Why is the spacing between stations so inconsistent? Monks Risborough and Little Kimble are so far apart but everything by Birmingham is squished together. GarethBaloney (talk) 15:56, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Seems to be from the number of stations on that line to Birmingham, with the field being a bit squashed into landscape shape leaving less space for each label. I'll look at reworking it soon. Thanks, Rcsprinter123 (talk) 19:52, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
