Les chiens de prairie aiment tasser, déblayer et amonceler la terre pour reconstruire le terrier et les monticules lorsque la terre est humide. Le sol argileux colle toutefois beaucoup aux pattes lorsqu'il est humide.
English: Black-tailed prairie dog (Cynomys ludovicianus), Grasslands National Park, Saskatchewan, Canada. Prairie dogs like to tamp, clear and pile soil to rebuild burrows and mounds while the soil is wet. The clay soil, however, sticks very much to the feet when it is wet. |
