Das heißt, historisch wertvoll? "Veraltet" ist an sich kein Löschgrund. Nakonana (talk) 15:20, 21 December 2025 (UTC)

Unlikely to be own works given the age of the photos. In addition most of the files have false dates which makes it difficult to ascertain whether or not {{PD-EG}} is actually applicable to the files in question

  •  Keep 1914 UK work by Willy Pogany (1882 – 1955) — should be PD in the US and EU alike on 1 January 2026 at the latest. (Not sure how Egypt law, i.e. PD-EG, would be relevant here.) Nakonana (talk) 20:11, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
  • Taken ca. 1950–1959 (per source website) by US based photographer Avery Willard (1921 – 1999).  Delete unless it has been published without copyright notice / restoration. Nakonana (talk) 20:41, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
  • Taken in 1960 (per source website) by US based photographer Avery Willard (1921 – 1999).  Delete unless it has been published without copyright notice / restoration. Nakonana (talk) 20:41, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
  •  Keep 1920 drawing by John Singer Sargent (1856-1925). PD-old-100. Nakonana (talk) 21:08, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
  •  Keep 1810 published work by Edward Scriven (1775-1841), engraver, after a work by Sir Peter Lely (1618-1680), portrait painter. Nakonana (talk) 21:25, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
  •  Keep Getty says it's a 1905 work. The British Museum says they acquired the portrait in 1875. And if I'm reading the text in the top right corner correctly, it says 1803. Either way it's old enough to be in the public domain. Nakonana (talk) 21:35, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
  •  Keep An illustration that was published in 1850 according to . Nakonana (talk) 21:48, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
  •  Keep 1867-1913 work by the Bonfils family (Félix Bonfils, 1831–1885, Lydie Bonfils, 1837–1918). Nakonana (talk) 22:13, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
  •  Keep per file name and description this is another photo by the Bonfils family (Félix Bonfils, 1831–1885, Lydie Bonfils, 1837–1918). Nakonana (talk) 22:30, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
  •  Comment This appears to be a postcard from the Egyptian Types and Scenes series by the photo studio Lévy et Neurdein Réunis. The date is given as ca. 1910s. Can't find information on the exact photographer. The postcard is likely PD in the US, but not sure about its copyright status in the country of origin. Nakonana (talk) 19:10, 22 December 2025 (UTC)
  •  Keep 1877 work per . Nakonana (talk) 22:18, 23 December 2025 (UTC)

  •  Keep 1851 work. Nakonana (talk) 23:31, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
  •  Weak keep 1935 photo from Belgium, could be {{PD-anon-70-EU}} or {{PD-EU-no author disclosure}}. I couldn't find a particular source or author but the photo was taken as part of the depicted person's coronation as Miss Universe and was therefore likely published shortly after being taken. The only potential source I've found is the newspaper Le Petit Journal. Nakonana (talk) 15:44, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
  •  Keep per file name and signature in the photo's bottom right corner this is another photo by the Bonfils family (Félix Bonfils, 1831–1885, Lydie Bonfils, 1837–1918). Nakonana (talk) 17:11, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
  •  Keep photo from the 1860s. Nakonana (talk) 16:34, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
  •  Keep issued in ca. 1870–1875.  Comment The file should be {{Rename}}d because there's a typo in the file name (foràt -> forêt). Nakonana (talk) 18:06, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
  •  Keep issued in ca. 1870–1875. Nakonana (talk) 18:15, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
  •  Keep issued in 1890. Nakonana (talk) 18:32, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
  •  Keep 1860 work by Francis Frith (1822-1898). It might qualify for deletion as a duplicate, though, see File:(Egypt.).jpg. Nakonana (talk) 18:55, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
  •  Weak keep Most likely a pre-1929 work if not a pre-1900 work. I couldn't find a conclusive answer but have added all source links and potential authors, that I've found, to the file description for assessment. Nakonana (talk) 19:52, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
  •  Keep 1881 work per file name. Nakonana (talk) 23:31, 23 December 2025 (UTC)

Trade (talk) 16:45, 7 December 2025 (UTC)

  • Side note, since I feel like I've seen it a few times: Trade, thanks for adding deletion categories, but the category for INUSE deletion discussions should really be when whether it being in use is part of the debate, not when something has a licensing issue and happens to be in use.
