Hi All, I'm mostly active on the English Wikipedia and these days mostly only as the person running the educational WikiProject WP:APBIO. I'd like to have permissio to overwrite files so that I can submit improved versions on the project diagrams, for instance File:Shark Anatomy.svg is a very useful and needed diagram and well done, but I need to trim the margins and change some of the line and word contrast as the student has finished the course. @Earthdirt, you didn't care to read the note at the top of this page bcoz if you did, you wouldn't have written this request at the top of the section. Also, you used URLs instead of internal wikilinks. I had to make some fixes in your request (See Revision #1229435080). I think you probably need to work a bit more on Commons before getting autopatrol. In the meantime, you can request to overwrite files at COM:OWR. I've been looking to adjust rotation/coloring on several existing photos, and looks like this isn't available to do normally, so here we are. TransportationMEE

I am an editor specializing in Chinese transportation. In August 2025, I optimized the Category:Logos of Ningbo Rail Transit and created the Category:NBRT Line icons in Round-3 Style to make the line icons more visually accurate to their real-world counterparts. These icons are currently functioning well. I also contributed to updating the File:Ningbo Rail Transit System Map zh-hans.svg. I now plan to expand my optimization work to transit icons for more cities. Hello there. I unfortunately have an edit count somewhat under the recommended threshold to request Autopatrol permissions, but I nevertheless wanted to submit a request due to my desire to improve and/or vectorize files that others have made. The primary areas I do work in are heraldry, political cartography, vexillology, graphs/infographics, and numismatics. There are, for instance, a number of heraldic works whose vectorized emblazonments eclectically merge styles together, and as a result, require attention, though not to an extent that necessitates making a new file from scratch. My main use would be for created new subcategories and modifying existing categories (including templates) for Category:Categories of the United States by state. There are many categories that should apply for any state (such as Category:Flora of the United States by family by state and using AutoWikiBrowser would greatly speed up this process, as well as correctly categorize existing subcategories. I understand that the criterion should be applied conservatively. Since then, I have continued contributing normally and requesting renames when appropriate. I would appreciate your consideration. @Abzeronow ever since FM was revoked, Heylenny has made 25 RRs, all successful. But if we stick to understanding the scope of the Criterions, see the request at Revision #1220799382 (carried out at Revision #1220799465), it was made under FR2 (the same highlighted criterion). If you would ask me, it should've been made under FR3. The name wasn't meaningless or ambiguous but needed corrections for obvious errors. That said, I would still like to hear @Didym and @Grand-Duc. Well, for one, mixing up FR2 and FR3 is quite common. Normally, it would be within the responsibility of the filemover to correct such mistakes in rationales, but it doesn't do much harm when a basically valid renaming request is linked to a not-so-fitting rationale. I often upload files with the smartphone or on the tablet in a running (and unfavorably wobbling) train and therefore unfortunately cause more or less regularly typos in the file names (and detect them when including the files in an article later), so it would be helpful to have the file mover right. Hopefully my work on WP (edit count, Sichter = pending changes reviewer right), WV (edit count, autopatroller right) and here so far recommends me for the feature. Thank you. I want to become Template editor to improve astronomy related license templates which need some quick improvement like for example Template:PD-2MASS to remain in inline with other licence template but can't do because of template protection. @Abdullah1099: so when you create a new template, create a subpage called Template:TemplateName/doc. In this subpage, click create and a preload box should appear, saying "Click to preload this page with a TemplateBox template with <number> parameter(s)". Choose the appropriate option and fill in the details as detailed at Template:TemplateBox. Then add the documentation in the original template page with noinclude. Hello, I would like to request the Event Organizer right on Wikimedia Commons. I lead a group called Wiki Voice Visuals, a community of creative whose aim is to make visible africa culture and norms visually and audio visually especially that of the Igbo tribe, i also co-lead the IG Wiki Commons Hub, where I under went a one year mentee program to organize and coordinate Commons-focused campaigns, trainings, edit-a-thons, and photo contribution initiatives. I am requesting the Event Organizer right on Wikimedia Commons to support the organization and management of community events within the Igbo Wikimedia community. I have been an active contributor to Commons through community media contests, having won the Wiki Loves Video prize (Igbo community, 2024) and the Wiki Loves Audio prize (Igbo community, 2026). Building on this experience, I am currently organizing the second edition of "Documenting Igbo Proverbs, Riddles, and Building an Audio Archive," a project focused on preserving Igbo oral traditions through community-contributed audio and video content on Commons.
This permission will allow me to:
  • Create and manage event registrations
  • Track participant contributions
  • Better support the organization and running of this and future Igbo community events
