עברית: תא מורכב בקליפת הראייה העיקרית. שדה הקלט מורכב כולו מאזור מעורר. הגירוי (קו צר של אור) יעורר תגובה בכל מקום בשדה הקלט, בכל אורך בו יהיה, כל עוד יהיה באויינטציה הנכונה. כמו כן, על הגירוי של תא זה לנוע לכיוון החץ למען קבל תגובה.
כאשר הגירוי אינו באוריינטציה הנכונה, תגובת התא (ירי אותות עצביים) תהיה חלשה או שלא תהיה כלל. איור זה דומה לתרשימים המקוריים של הובל וויזל לתיאור התאים המורכבים כאשר גילו אותם לראשונה, ב-1962. |
