This is a diagram of what happens when two waves of amplitudes x destructively interfere. The velocity (v) of each wave is noted for purposes of identifying in which direction waves are heading. The time (t) is also given, with values of 0, 1, and 2 in order to show that successive pictures happen later in time. Self-created.
