The Wikimedia Commons Conference is a 3-day conference of Wikimedia Commons contributors happening in August 2026 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines. This conference will bring participants from different Wiki Loves photography contests, active Commons contributors, and open knowledge advocates.
The conference welcomes local and international Wikimedians and photographers who can finance their participation.
Program

- Thematic panels and community presentations: A series of discussions to better understand the issues faced among the contributors, and to look for solutions
- Workshop: A hands-on experience workshop to collaboratively solve challenges in our community
- Strategy: A strategy session for community leaders to come up with a project aligned with open knowledge
- Cultural and nature tours: A series of tours through the cultural and natural landscape of Puerto Princesa City

Friendly space policy & security
Taking into account that civility and assuming good faith are core principles of the Wikimedia movement, the Philippine Wikimedia User Group expect all participants to abide to the PhilWiki Community’s Code of Conduct and Wikimedia Foundations; Friendly Space Policy for Wikimedia movement events, as well as the Universal Code of Conduct during all activities of Wikimedia Commons Conference 2026.
