Er lenkt den Laserstrahl zeilenweise über die Bildtrommel. 5) Unregelmäßig geforme Linse. Linearitätskorrektur der Laserbewegung. 6) Mischwerk im Behälter mit dem Tonervorrat. Streift den Toner gleichmäßig auf die Entwicklertrommel. 7) Negativ aufgeladene Entwicklertrommel. Der Toner wandert von ihr auf die entladenen Bereiche der Bildtrommel. 8) Tonertransfer auf Papier. Die positiv geladene Transferrolle (roter Blitz) zieht den negativ geladenen Toner an. Das Papier fängt ihn auf. 9) Abstreifer. Wischt nicht übergesprungene Tonerreste von der Bildtrommel und neutralisiert die verbliebene Ladung. 10) Resttonerauffangbehälter. 11) Fixiereinheit. Heiße Walzen schmelzen den Toner und drücken ihn auf das Papier.
