English: The logo of the wiki Localpedia, the encyclopedia of locally significant topics, in comparison to Wikipedia, which evaluates notability based on worldly significance. I created the logo primarily with two public domain images, one of a house and one of the earth. The logo symbolizes the importance of the home and what is familiar to the individual, and that everyone everywhere has to live in some local establishment. Furthermore, by this philosophy, topics of local interest are just as significant as those of worldly interest. This stretches the importance of inclusion of topics found important in local news sources, etc., in an encyclopedia. The wiki was founded by an inclusionist on an inclusionist philosophy. This logo is hereby released into the public domain and may be used by anyone for any purpose. |
