| Short Description | I was assigned Brian Jungen (1970 - present) for my Studio 1 artist. Jungen is a Canadian born artist with native routes who focuses on creating aboriginal based projects made from consumer products. Using Jungen’s style, I mimicked human extremities using diabetic paraphernalia (syringes, needle heads, syringe packaging), and nylon thread. Being a diabetic, I used materials that dealt with my medical issue, and repurposed them into a hand, which is an extremity that can be affected by diabetes. |
