Trotz seiner 2,16 m Körpergröße zeichnete er sich durch unglaubliche Beweglichkeit, Schnelligkeit und vor allem Kraft aus. Chamberlain war den Gegenspielern seiner Zeit weit überlegen und dominierte in einer Manier, die die NBA bis dahin nicht kannte und die bis heute kein Pendant fand.

He holds the great majority of all individual single-game or regular-season NBA records.
