I am getting my Wikipedia training wheels back on!
I got started on Wikipedia in 2009 officially by creating an account. I had worked very hard on a topic and wanted to contribute some knowledge.
Being 100% honest here: my experience was pretty harsh. I made some anonymous edits throughout the years after that but never really followed up because I was very insecure about contributing.
It's been more than a decade now and I feel like this would be a nice fresh start to overcome some old fears.
Fun fact:
I got my username from the Captcha below the sign up form!
Here are a few key things about me:
- I travel a lot but reside in Canada.
- I work in an odd field that involves playing with algorithms a lot.
- My interests are varied:
- Food! Anything food related.
- Hungarian folklore
- Tech-related things (companies, technologies, etc.)
- Roman history (specifically emperors)

My ambitions for this year:
- I would like to create a page to go through the whole process. Of course, knowing me, I will be writing an entire draft and then bumbling along hoping to muddle through and figure it out with the help and hopefully the support of some contributors.
- I found a beginner article I would love to tackle due to my sociology background: call-out culture (can't seem to find a way to integrate it as an internal link for some reason...any tips on how to do that would be deeply appreciated.
- I'd like to update some pages regarding various web things (no clue what yet but I really like accessibility and JavaScript rendering)
