Terug naar de sofa

Dag Siebrand, ik kwam je op het spoor omdat ik wat wijzigingen wil aanbrengen in namen van categorieën die in 2006 en 2008 gemaakt zijn door een bot, de SieBot. Het gaat met name om twee categorieën op de “Fourth Courtyard (Topkapı Palace”. Ik ging naar je discussiepagina en zag als eerste een discussie over verwijderen van de categorie “Gay”, een categorie die zover ik zie door SieBot was gemaakt. Ik heb de eerste officiële krans voor omgebrachte homo’s gelegd, bij de officiële landelijke dodenherdenking op de Dam in 1971 en heb wat sporen verdiend in de beweging daaromtrent. Dat schiep een band, maar een band die ik mogelijk alleen heb met jouw bot. Ik heb twee vragen. De eerste is: hoe komt het dat twee categorieën genoemd zijn met “Terrace”. De oudste is die van de Terrace Kiosk, gemaakt door ene Gryffindor. De tweede is voor de Terrace Mosque, gemaakt door SieBot, met als uitleg “Robot: Moved from Category:Imperial Sofa Mosque. Authors: SieBot, Gryffindor”. Na haast 18 jaar zou ik de oude, betere naam Sofa Mosque willen terugzetten. Het is echt de meest gebruikte naam. En als ik "Terrace Mosque, Istanbul" Google vind ik allerlei moskeeën die het zeker niet zijn. Ik vermoed dat “Terrace” een term uit een reisgids is, die Gryffindor wel passend leek. En dat SieBot die daarna heeft overgenomen. In z’n algemeenheid kom ik de bot nog al eens tegen, dus ik ben ook wel benieuwd waar het ding in z’n algemeenheid zijn namen vandaan haalde. Zij het dat ik inmiddels denk dat het een hulpmiddel was, en dat mogelijk jij de bot opdracht hebt gegeven de input van Gryffindor te gebruiken. Die ik dus ongedaan wil maken omdat de oude naam juister was. Ik heb filemoversrechten, maar besloot dit eerst te onderzoeken. Dosseman (talk) 10:23, 1 February 2026 (UTC)

Ga vooral je gang. Ik heb er weinig binding mee en ik kan me voorstellen dat bijna 20 jaar later de categorieboom anders in elkaar zit. Ik ga me niet bemoeien met overleg over deze dingen, ik doe er al meer dan 10 jaar vrijwel niets meer mee, geloof ik... De oorsprong is denk ik dat SieBot destijds op basis van aanwijzingen op een beveiligde pagina automatisch categorieën omnoemde (category move bot of hoe dat destijds ook geheten mag hebben) Groet!
