Coats of arms of the Kabardino-Balkar ASSR and of the Mordovian ASSR

(Rephrased from original request) Can You make a SVG for these two coat of arms? Thanks. Youseefr 99 (talk) 04:53, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
@Youseefr 99 Thank you sincerely for quoting my request. By the way, the vectorized image of the national emblem of Kabardino-Balkar ASSR should be made based on the emblem of Kalmyk ASSR, since the formatting of all text above the shield is closer between the two.  Request taken by Bpmcneilly (talk) 02:31, 17 January 2026 (UTC) - @Boston Mayflower: we should be good on the Mordovian ASSR emblem (or, if there are tweaks we can handle it in the request above), correct? Also, for Kabardino-Balkar emblem, I'm assuming I can use the text in the description of the raster version for my SVG? I'm trying to clarify now because I see some of these other requests mention incorrect text in other emblems.

No one can help me? --Yeagvr (talk) 18:58, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
Don't get desperate, sometimes certain files are trickier than they thought. I found out the hard way. I'm only commenting so the bots won't archive it without solving. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 20:10, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
@Candidyeoman55: Can you explain why you keep doing this on every request? You don’t even make a selection! And you do it without being asked, even in other people’s requests.
You add a ping to the request to prevent automatic archiving.
This archiving function was carefully set up on this project page: if there has been no post on a topic for more than 60 days, it is assumed that the topic remains unresolved and it will be archived.
Please stop doing this.
I am asking you again:
  • Either you actively help work on the requests yourself and edit graphics or create new ones as described by the requesters.
  • Or you submit your own requests.
    • Mass requests are unusual.
    • Normally, new requests are submitted only after the previous one has been completed.
What is not necessary and should therefore be avoided:
  • Marking completed requests for archiving immediately.
  • Intentionally and generally preventing automatic archiving.
  • Taking part in other people’s requests with small talk without contributing anything meaningful: no unsolicited micromanagement. Usually, the requester has the best overview and knowledge of the topic. Usually, they can judge themselves whether the request has been sufficiently fulfilled. And usually, they know which related topics are still open and which do not need further work. It is also normal to give them time to review a completed request and, ideally, trigger the archiving themselves.

Syrian government ministries

Article(s): en:Ministry of Interior (Syria) (example)

Request
These are logos of ministries of the Syrian government. Could someone please convert them into SVG format?
The Syrian emblem (the golden eagle) can be taken from here: File:Emblem of Syria.svg.
The text must always be green (even when it is white in the JPG file), specifically this color: #002623.
In some cases, the Syrian emblem and the text are not centered but aligned to the right; however, in the SVG version they should be centered, like all the others.
The only exception is the last logo, which is slightly different from the others and must be kept exactly as it is in the SVG.
In other words, image number 1 can be used as an example of how all the others should be made, except for the last one.
The background must always be transparent. In the SVG, include only the emblem and the text in Arabic and in English.
Thank you very much in advance.--Yeagvr (talk) 20:52, 10 January 2026 (UTC)

@Yeagvr: could you list out the text, both Arabic and English, of the logos? Would also help if you got the typeface as well. Cheers. J. Dann (talk) 03:59, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

@Cypp0847: Hi, I've added it as part of the image descriptions. As for the typeface, I’m not sure, but it should be the one the Syrian government has been officially using since 2025, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find. --Yeagvr (talk) 21:41, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

Some Italian road signs

Request
Make these images SVGs but check if similar images on the page (and the other 3 pages in the series, linked in the gray box at the top) have already been properly vectorised, to avoid possible inconsistencies with the font and small details, and also to avoid duplicates (in case an identical SVG version already exists and I haven't noticed). Useful categories for simialr signs are Category:Diagrams of historic road signs of Italy, 1969 set and Category:Diagrams of historic road signs of Italy, 1971 set --FaviFake. What typefaces are being used? If you find out, tell people here, and it will save a lot of time for the more complex requests to be taken. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 13:18, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
Alfabeto Normale and Alfabeto Stretto. Candidyeoman55 (talk) 13:19, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
Yup, see it:Alfabeto Normale for the 2 fonts. I know nothing about SVGs, but maybe Earthshaker13 might be willing to give more info on how he vectorised other similar italian signs, if he'd like to. FaviFake (talk) 16:28, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
Also pinging @Arbalete, who has handled similar types of signs in the past. FaviFake (talk) 17:58, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
Graphist opinion(s)
I will probably start to work on the signs in the coming week, but since the quality of these raster images is good, I will probably prioritize creation of the few missing signs from 1971 regulations rather than converting from raster. It should not too complicated since I have the font available from past road sign creations. Note that some of the raster signs are already available (since are the same of the 1969 collection but with a proportional rescaling); I doubt that it is worth recreating identical images --Earthshaker13 (talk) 10:11, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks so much! I did think that some of these could be identical to similar, already-vectorised signs introduced with the 1969 circular, but i didn't feel confident removing the raster duplicates as I'm not an expert on the subject. FaviFake (talk) 10:35, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
Request taken by Earthshaker13 (talk) 11:19, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
I added few of the missing ticks in Special:Diff/1188814395. It seems we're only missing one, the third to last image! FaviFake (talk) 14:57, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
@FaviFake All the signs are available, including the stopping place one that you thought it was missing. Note that 4 signs (including the stopping place one) are actually exact scaled down or exact replicas of their 1969's versions. Don't think that any duplicate is needed (maybe just some redirects, from new name). At this point I will mark that task as completed.
By the way, I see that you redirected directly a few .png files to the new .svg version: I don't think that it is correct (considering that are different file format) and I took the liberty to revert back that change Earthshaker13 (talk) 20:03, 29 March 2026 (UTC)

@Bastruk: one more left
one question about this last file:
I can create it as well.
For PrawOrdynWP oznk rozp (2012).svg, I vectorized all the content myself.
I can also edit PrawOrdynWP odznk pam (2012).png, but only if I should use the elements from PrawOrdynWP oznk rozp (2012).svg without any changes — meaning the figure, the horse, and the dragon. In that case, I would only re-vectorize the background symbols.
If you need a vectorization that exactly matches the original raster image, then someone else would need to do that.
Please let me know, thank you. --Mrmw (talk) 21:58, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
It needs to be done without any changes, so I will have to wait for someone else. Nevertheless, thank you very much for the other vectorizations. Bastruk (talk) 22:09, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Virtuti Militari and Military Cross (Polish Armed Forces)

Article(s): en:Virtuti Militari, pl:Order Virtuti Militari and en:Order of the Military Cross, pl:Order Krzyża WojskowegoCategory:SVG orders of Poland

Request
PDF for #2
  • First, an SVG version of the "Grand Cross Star#5" needs to be created, similar to the way the files were prepared in Category:SVG orders of Poland for other Polish orders. Next, "→Starting Point#2", the sash with the Grand Cross Star inside and the medal attached (using grey-black colors from the references, and the cross from "Insignia #4+5" in black and gold with crown). After that, please adjust the colors of the sash and ribbons, update the medals, and include the newly created Grand Cross (File:Order Virtuti Militari - Gwiazda Krzyża Wielkiego.svg). The elements should be arranged according to the same wearing instructions shown in "Wearing of the insignia of the Virtuti Militari Order (.JPG)".
  • In Military Cross Order case, all elements are already vectorized. There are only three classes (not five), so the placement should correspond to classes 2+3+4 in the Polonia Restituta ("→Starting Point"), meaning: #1 left chest, #2 neck, #3 neck with Grand Cross Star on the left chest.
  • please overwrite the existing files (Ribbon#4 class III, Ribbon#5 class II and Ribbon#6 class I). Replace their current colors with the blue and red used in: Ribbon#1 class III, Ribbon#2 class II and Ribbon#3 class I. This is to ensure color consistency with the vectorized insignia from Request 2 (Wearing of the insignia of the Military Cross) and Request 4 (Rosette)
  • For the 4th request, please extract the rosette from the ribbons (Ribbon#6 class I and Ribbon#5 class II) + based on the same colors vectorize the wstążka

I believe the most difficult part will be vectorizing the "Grand Cross Star#5" from Request 1. The remaining requests should mainly involve copying and pasting elements within the SVG editor and adjusting colors accordingly(?). --Bastruk (talk) 23:53, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

PDF for #1 – Page 3 contains a good flat representation of the Grand Cross Star of Virtuti Militari, hope it helps with the vectorization -- Bastruk (talk) 02:12, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

@Abemos On position 3, the Grand Cross Star should be on the other side (on the left chest, but from the perspective of the person awarded). Sorry for the confusion Bastruk (talk) 09:12, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Also, something has happened to the buttons, they have shifted outside the outline. Bastruk (talk) 09:14, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
@Abemos And if the eagle on these awards is just a pasted raster graphic placed onto the vector star/medal, I have found a properly vectorized eagle that you could use instead (the one on Polonia Restituta is the pre-1928 version) → File:Herb Polski.svg Bastruk (talk) 09:32, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
I should've fixed the main issues now. The eagle is vectorized and is the one used on the "starting point" svg. I didn't want to use to detailed of a graphic on such a small part of the svg. I can perhaps do something in the middle, using the file you just sent as a starting point? ᛅᛒᛁᛘᚢᛋ (talk) 09:37, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
I found a current eagle without details in File:POL Centralne Biuro Antykorupcyjne logo.svg, but you can also simplify yourself the one already used in File:POL Gwiazda Krzyża Wielkiego Orderu Krzyża Wojskowego.svg.
I also think the buttons are still spaced too far apart, now vertically (they are almost touching the bottom, unlike in the original version). Bastruk (talk) 10:20, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

@Tcfc2349: Whats fresh rebuild? There are variants such as File:Coat of Arms of Spain (1977-1981).svg etc. ThecentreCZ (talk) 01:33, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
It's just that I'm redrawing it in the current style. If you zoom in closely, there are crooked or misaligned parts everywhere, so it needs to be corrected. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to explain clearly recently because I haven't been doing Wikimedia Commons activities well. --Tcfc2349 (talk) 11:50, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Rotate racing circuit maps

Article(s): Miami International Autodrome, Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, Suzuka Circuit, Imola Circuit, etc.

Request
Hello folks, there's plenty of racing circuit maps with SVG format that should be rotated, so they face north or close. Who can help with this? Thank you! --NaBUru38 (talk) 20:53, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Graphist opinion(s)
@NaBUru38: The current maps may have been rotated to maximise the area of the circuit in the image. Is it a good idea to reduce this area by rotating it so that north is up? cmɢʟeeτaʟκ 13:01, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
Exactly. --NaBUru38 (talk) 18:25, 26 March 2026 (UTC)

Warning sign

The front wheel in this sign looks like it was accidentally duplicated. There seem to be two overlapping circles instead of one. Could anyone make the front wheel look like a perfect circle like the back wheel? --FaviFake (talk) 20:47, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

British yacht club burgees (low priority)

Article(s): en:List of United Kingdom flags

These pennant-shaped flags would look nicer and fit in well after changing their white backgrounds (the large white triangles on the upper and lower right) to transparent. Any critical feedback on making better requests is welcome; I don't want to be an annoyance. ~ Misha Vargas (talk | contribs) 20:05, 27 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello, could someone please vectorize this pin-back button design from the film Back to the Future? The background should be white and not transparent, and the letters should be vertically longer (references online), thanks. --Yovt (talk) 23:10, 29 March 2026 (UTC)

SVG Request: ISI Logo and Flag

Article(s): en:Inter-Services Intelligence

Request
Please vectorise the logo and flag of Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan into SVG format. The current raster versions are low-resolution and pixelate when scaled. High-quality vector versions are needed for use in infoboxes and official documentation. --Soap Boy 1 (talk) 13:37, 30 March 2026 (UTC)

@Hsnkn: Note that due to an rsvg bug, colours specified in an SVG may not be the same as in its PNG thumbnail. cmɢʟeeτaʟκ 03:24, 2 April 2026 (UTC)

Request
Hi! This request will have two points. The first is to create two new vector files based on this website. I specifically want vectorized logo files of the red "M" and orange "L" bullets (you'll have to scroll down a little bit to see them). The second I just want the raster logo file linked in this gallery here above vectorized. So in total, there should be three vector files. Thank you! --OrdinaryScarlett (talk) 09:59, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
P.S. The raster logo file can also be found at this website. OrdinaryScarlett (talk) 17:22, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
