Bahasa Indonesia: Methik bahasa Jawa yang berarti Memetik atau memanen merupakan tradisi petani Trawas, Mojokerto, Jawa Timur. Tradisi Methik Padi dilakukan sebelum panen padi. Tujuan Methik adalah doa dan ucapan syukur petani kepada Tuhan YME serta rasa terima kasih petani kepada alam semesta yang memberi kesuburan pada lahan sawah padi. Adapun bahan untuk melaksanakan tradisi Methik antara lain pisang, ubi rebus, kacang rebus, kue tradisional, sabut kelapa untuk di bakar serta alat pemotong padi tradisional . Setelah doa dipanjatkan petani akan membakar sabut kelapa, lalu menaruh beberapa makanan di atas bagan bambu, lalu petani memotong beberapa helai padi untuk di bawa pulang kerumah. |
