I was born and grew up in Ooty in the Nilgiri Mountains, in Tamil Nadu in south India. From 2010-2020, I was at IIT Mandi in Himachal Pradesh in the Western Himalayas. Now, I live in Mysore on the Deccan Plateau. I am an academic and engineer by profession. Photography is my hobby. My preferred subjects are landscapes, nature, buildings and machines. I have been contributing to Wikimedia Commons since 2019.

As of September 2024, I had 50+ Featured Pictures (India + 3 countries), 200+ Valued Images (India + 8 countries), and 2,000+ Quality images (India + 13 countries). About 850 of my images have been used in 1,200+ pages in Wikimedia projects, including 730+ articles in English Wikipedia.

I contribute to Wikipedia and Wikidata especially related to subjects that I photograph. I have created 15 Wikipedia articles, mostly on villages in Himachal Pradesh and Zanskar.
