| Description |
English: During the metallization of DNA wires with AgNO3 solution, an amount of silver crystallizes into beatiful star-shaped crystals. The rest of the silver formed small separate clusters on DNA wires. The metallized DNAs with metal clusters can be seen on the the background as short bright wires. The SEM image was obtained with Zeiss Merlin FESEM at low accelerating voltage 1,2 kV using inlens secondary electrons detector.
Русский: На снимке представлены звездообразные кристаллы серебра, образовавшиеся в ходе процесса металлизации жгутов ДНК. Металлиазия осуществлялась в растворе AgNO3 в присутствии восстановителя. Часть серебра выпала в осадок в виде причудливых кристаллов. Остальная часть серебра сформировала небольшие кластеры на жгутах ДНК. Изображения металлизованных жгутов ДНК с металлическими кластерами можно увидеть на фоне изображения в виде коротких светлых нитей. Снимок получен при помощи СЭМ Zeiss Merlin в режиме низкого ускоряющего напряжения 1,2 кВ с использованием внутрилинзового детектора вторичных электронов.
