Maps in this category are less Fantasy Maps than a-historic (not real), imaginative speculations. They suggest imagined national boundaries. Such maps may be produced out of ignorance, deliberate inaccuracy, or political speculation. They may, or may not, accurately reflect the geographical features of the planet Earth, and as such are distinct from maps of imagined worlds such as those created by genre authors.
