File:!Haunu.ogg
Summary
| Description |
English: Pronunciation of the name of the mythological figure ǃHãunu, as a key for the moon of the TNO (469705) ǂKá̦gára. ǀXam is an extinct language, and Wilhelm Bleek's 19th-century transcription is not entirely accurate, so we don't know exactly how this name was pronounced. However, Bleek's transcriptions are consistent enough to narrow things down. This recording was made by a Khoisanist and phonetician familiar with ǀXam's closest living relative, Nǁng, and is our best guess. |
