100,000 random (normal noise, standard deviation of 100) time series of length 200 were generated. The picture shows a histogram (binsize 0.01) of the trends (calculated from least squares) of the each member of the series. X axis is the value of the trend. Y axis is the fraction of trends in that bin. The shaded areas show where the values of the trends are greater than 90, 95 and 99% of the other trends.
