  • sửa đổi các trang thuộc không gian tên MediaWiki
  • đổi tên tập tin
  • cấp và loại bỏ một số quyền của các thành viên
  • cấu hình các chiến dịch thuộc Trình thuật sĩ Tải lên
  • xoá và phục hồi các mục nhật trình cụ thể và các phiên bản của trang
  • nhập trang từ các wiki khác
  • trộn lịch sử của các trang
  • chỉnh sửa các bộ lọc sai phạm
  • không tạo trang đổi hướng từ trang gốc khi di chuyển các trang
  • vượt qua các giới hạn của công cụ kiểm tra phá hoại, các danh sách đen về tiêu đề và tên người dùng

Vai trò với cộng đồng

Bảo quản viên là những thành viên có kinh nghiệm và được tin tưởng ở cộng đồng Commons, họ nhận thực hiện thêm một số công việc bảo trì khác và được tin tưởng giao cho các công cụ bảo quản thông qua đồng thuận/bỏ phiếu công khai. Các bảo quản viên có thể quan tâm và hiểu biết về các lĩnh vực khác nhau, tuy nhiên những tác vụ bảo quản cơ bản bao gồm đưa ra quyết định và đóng các yêu cầu xoá, xoá các nội dung vi phạm bản quyền, phục hồi tập tin khi cần thiết, bảo vệ Commons khỏi phá hoại, làm việc với các bản mẫu và các trang bị khoá khác. Tất nhiên, một số tác vụ này cũng có thể được những thành viên không phải bảo quản viên thực hiện.

Các bảo quản viên cần hiểu được mục tiêu của dự án này, và sẵn sàng làm việc trên tinh thần xây dựng với các thành viên khác để đạt được những mục tiêu đó. Các bảo quản viên cũng phải hiểu và làm theo các quy định của Commons và khi có thể, tôn trọng đồng thuận của cộng đồng.

Ngoài các công việc cần sử dụng các công cụ bảo quản, bảo quản viên không có thẩm quyền đặc biệt nào trong việc chỉnh sửa nội dung với tư cách vị trí họ đảm nhận. Trong các cuộc thảo luận và các cuộc bỏ phiếu công khai, ý kiến của họ được xem xét ngang bằng với bất kỳ biên tập viên bình thường nào. Gỡ quyền bảo quản viên

Theo quy định gỡ quyền bảo quản viên, quyền bảo quản viên có thể bị gỡ bỏ nếu bảo quản viên đó lâu ngày không hoạt động hoặc lạm dung các công cụ bảo quản. Trong một yêu cầu thu hồi công cụ bảo quản viên, các tiêu chuẩn thông thường để xác định sự đồng thuận trong đề nghị cấp quyền bảo quản viên không được áp dụng. Thay vào đó là "đa số đồng thuận", theo đó sự đồng thuận để gỡ quyền cao hơn 50% là đủ để thu hồi công cụ.

Ứng cử làm bảo quản viên

Tất cả các thành viên có dự định trở thành bảo quản viên, bao gồm tất cả các bảo quản viên cũ muốn quay lại vai trò trước đây của họ, phải trải qua quá trình đồng thuận từ cộng đồng, bằng cách tạo một Đề nghị cấp quyền bảo quản viên.

Bất kỳ thành viên nào đã đăng ký đều có thể bỏ phiếu, dù vậy, những tài khoản nào chỉ có một vài sửa đổi hoặc chưa từng có sửa đổi nào trước đây sẽ không được tính. Các hành chính viên có thể gia hạn thêm thời gian của một biểu quyết ứng cử bảo quản viên theo quyết định của mình, nếu họ cho rằng điều đó sẽ giúp xác định rõ hơn sự đồng thuận của cộng đồng.

Hi. I'm Nux, a programmer from Poland, and I want to become a technical admin and an interface admin (after reading that page, I assume I need both). In my day job, I work as a Tech Lead at a relatively large library systems company, so I'm accustomed to working in highly used environments. I've also been a user on Wikipedia for more than 20 years and have worked with various other open-source software (including translations for OpenOfice and Greenstone Digital Library, minor changes to Firefox debugger, and some changes in MediaWiki). My primary technical interests are accessibility, cybersecurity, i18n/l10n, and JavaScript. I create gadgets and bots on wikis (mostly on pl.wiki, but I also have e.g. IA rights on Meta).

Here on Commons, you might know me from fixing US maps, such as File:Map of Virginia highlighting Roanoke City.svg (and many others). I could use higher API limits when doing things like that. I can also process requests from the Polish community. I speak Polish, English, and JavaScript fluently, I used to know German and I'm learning French.

  •  Support Nux wrote the Pie chart module for Polish Wikipedia which was adopted by a dozen other language Wikpedias, and was especially useful as the WMF was slow to roll out there own graphing solutions. When an older and hackier pie chart template was replaced with this module on English Wikipedia, Nux was granted Template editor permissions (to edit highly transcluded pages) although he had not previously had the need.   •  Question, @Nux, thank you for nominating yourself for adminship. Can you expand on what you plan to do particularly if you become an admin in Commons? You have mentioned "fixing US maps", "higher API limits" and "process requests from the Polish community", which as mentioned above, these don't seem to be strong arguments for granting admin privileges.     Hi. Sorry for not being very specific.
    • First, I plan to fix problems with the interface due to changes in the standard thumbnail sizes, which are currently causing the upload form to malfunction. But also MediaWiki:WSM.css, MediaWiki:Gadget-scrollUpButton.js and more. For that, I will need interface administrator rights.
    • Then there are more than 2,100 pages to fix (most of them look like links). I assume some of the pages to change are protected, so I would need administrator rights to edit them. I already have a script for that, so it should be doable in a few hours (unless there are some unusual cases that require more work). I could start now, but it's easier and faster for me to do it in one go.
    • I'm also a tech contributor for Wiki Loves Monuments in Poland, so I might need to update templates quickly as the event approaches. I have adjusted the Polish WLM campaign in the past (I only have temporary rights for that at the moment). I also have my notes for next year's WLM (just to show you this is not a one-time thing). So rights to change the campaign and some templates is something I might need to update once a year based on community decisions and technical reqs. It's not frequent, but when needed, it may require quick changes.
    • I'm active on plwiki community channels, so Polish-speaking users would know how to reach me. Most other admins here who speak Polish are not very active on Wikipedia, so I think I could help fill that gap. I'm also a CheckUser and an admin on plwiki, and I would be the only CU from plwiki who is also an admin here on Commons.
    • I also plan to subscribe to the admin boards and help when I can. So maybe some technical stuff, maybe some quick file rename and stuff like that.
    • I will also go through Category:Commons protected edit requests for interface administrators. Upon brief examination I noticed some of the requests have no comments from admins. I have extensive experience with JS and CSS, so I should be able to handle most requests quickly.
    • I will also go through Category:Commons protected edit requests whenever I have more time, but my priorities will be JS and CSS.
    So as I hope you can see now, most of the activities I could do I just cannot do. Hence you would see more of my activity on Commons when I would get the rights needed to do the activities I honestly just like to do :) Nux (talk··dyskusja) 11:40, 2 May 2026 (UTC)

  •  Question @Nux: mind activating the opt-in for the XTools edit counter? I get that you're applying as tech admin; and as such, I think that you're bound to receive "emergency calls" for help (like a request for RevDel of private data or the like - I'm one such guy who's actively contacting admins spotted in RC when I see nefarious stuff). Thought that's not the only time you can find me on wikis. There are times when I prepare tools offline or not with edits (like today for example I'm doing a tool on Toolforge, which is only reading API, not doing edits).
