English: γ-MnO2 nanodisk. γ-MnO2 (nsutite phase) was prepared by coprecipitation between MnCl2 and NaMnO4. The hexagonal lattice and planar-coordinated oxygen promoted the anisotropic elongation along the a and b axis.
