I've been making a to-scale SVG image of releases of the Opera web browser, and published them on my personal blog, http://my.opera.com/IceArdor/blog/show.dml/1249353. I finally feel that the image meets the Wikipedia quality guidelines, and could be used as a visual tool for all of Opera's releases. For those of you who aren't as visual of a learner as I am, this may seem nearly useless. For those who are visual learners and want a timeframe of all of Opera's releases, here's this image. I made the image myself in Notepad. If you open the file in any text editor, the year, month, and day values of releases are contained within this file. This may be useful for anyone wanting to look at Opera's release history on the Opera web browser history page. Thanks to en:User:ADeveria for the inspiration to make this. His Timeline of Web Browsers has showed me just how valuable a visual timeline can be, and how easy it is to make an image in SVG. |
