Full-edge truncations start with a solid triangle for M₀ and the Mitsubishi logo for M₁, subsequently replacing triangles by Mitsubishi logos.

Half-edge truncations (even)

Half-edge truncations start with a solid triangle for M₁ and one with a hexagrammatic hole for M₂. The remaining area is subsequently filled with hexagrams.
The Menger sponge shown here is M₄, so only its hexagonal cross-section is visible from the truncation of M₅.
