Commons:Copyright rules by territory#Iraq
"Iraq's copyright law from 1971 protected most works for 25 years from the date of death; snapshot photos were protected for five years from publication and corporate/government works were copyrighted 30 years from publication."
"In 2004, the CPA non-retroactively amended the law such that the economic rights of author is protected for lifetime of the author and for 50 years from the date of his death, with no exception for simple photographs; corporate/government works are now protected for 50 years from publication."
So everything before 1974 is PD-Iraq. The uploader who used PD-Iraq for a 1980 banknote was probably referring to It is one of "collections of official documents, such as texts of international laws, regulations and agreements, judicial judgements and various official documents." I'm not sure money would be considered an "official document", but this depends on the country I think. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 12:21, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
Interesting that {{PD-Iraq}} fails to mention anything about earlier limits which would still be relevant, but I don't think that changes any of the grouping above. The ones from 1931, as already noted, could probably be kept if the file descriptions are corrected. Everything else appears to be from 1979 or later.
The "official documents" exception clearly refers to texts, so it would not apply here. LX (talk, contribs) 18:41, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

Per COM:CUR Iraq. Johnj1995 (talk) 19:30, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

Note, the restrictions on the COM:CUR Iraq page and the disclaimer on the Central Bank of Iraq website apply only to the images they published from what I read. These are all photos taken by me and not by any organization such as the CBI which have copywritten the images.
If there is a separate restriction for ANY images of Iraqi Currency after 1974 please link it or provide proof, as this would also apply to the other language wiki pages which contain images of said bank notes as well and should be updated.
