For a file of a specific location, it may be possible to contact someone near the location and request that they take a photo. The nearest photographer tool can help locate users who are near specific locations.
If the object has a fixed location, it can have a Wikidata item with geocoordinates. Items with coordinates will be seen on the WikiShootMe map where any user of that website can see all the places that lack a picture.
Link to a page where you want the image to be placed.
If possible, include an external link to a picture about the request.
Sign your request in case there are questions (use ~~~~).
