No FoP in Ukraine. Author - Oksana Mas. Uploader is not author. Микола Василечко (talk) 03:43, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

It is not necessary to apply the freedom of panorama here because there is no depiction of copyrighted art in the photographs despite the fact that they depict the work by Oksana Mas as indicated in their description. The individual parts of the installation are reproductions of the parts of the Ghent Altarpiece, which is in public domain. Individual pysanky, from which the panels were assembled, and which were crafted by Oksana Mas, are not displayed in the photographs. The whole installation itself serves the purpose of displaying the panels and is not an artwork by itself. I am the author of the photographs. Роман Рябенко (talk) 07:01, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
Whether this arrangement is considered her work, too, or not would depend on legal interpretations. On the face of it, though, what you say makes a lot of sense. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:25, 14 July 2026 (UTC)

  • Support deletion. The uploader and the subject of the images are the same person, representing a clear conflict of interest and unverified self-promotion. Furthermore, the uploader provides misleading information, falsely presenting himself as a rabbi without providing any reliable or official sources to substantiate this claim. Files in Category:Files from the official Bandai Namco Entertainment America YouTube channel

While these videos are licensed as CC BY, Bandai Namco does not own the Dragon Ball or One Piece intellectual property (w:Shueisha is the most likely owner by my assumption). Therefore, Bandai Namco does not have the legal capability to license these videos by CC BY (presuming they didn't have permission to do so by the copyright holder). If they did, isn't indicated and should be deleted due to COM:PRP anyway.

Keep As stated repeated times (ex, Commons:Deletion requests/File:Resident Evil Requiem - 4ème Trailer.webm):

A trailer being under a Creative Commons does not mean its trademark has been released under any free license. A trailer being under a Creative Commons does not mean the whole character has been released under Creative Commons.

Capsule Corporation Tokyo properties (not Shueisha, because the Dragon Ball copyright is much more difficult) are as much copyrighted as it has always been. What we have here (licensed under the Youtube-CC license) are certain an specific representations of the videogame version of those characters, but it does not mean any of the characters is Public Domain, Freely Licensed or else. The characters can be trademarked but their representations (these videos) can be freely licensed. Not extraordinary, it already happened with Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Minecraft, with WB's Harry Potter content, with Nickelodeon, etc. TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 08:39, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
@TaronjaSatsuma: - The problem isn't the video's license, it is that the copyright holder (thank you for correcting me here) didn't upload the video, Bandai Namco did. Bandai Namco doesn't have full legal permission to do so. This kind of makes it a case of Commons:License laundering. Look at the second discussion on Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Videos by Bandai Namco for a similar situation. (Oinkers42) (talk) 16:14, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
Yes and no. Dragon Ball license is messy (because Capsule-Corp and more): Bandai-Namco has the ownership of the Dragon Ball characters created in videogames. This includes Android 21 and the generic Xenoverse characters.

So, File:DRAGON BALL- FighterZ - Android 21(Lab Coat) Trailer.webm should be kept, and probably those videos can also be kept if some original manga/anime is blurred:
File:Dragon Ball XENOVERSE - Jump Festa Trailer (Spanish).webm
File:Dragon Ball Xenoverse - TGS 2014 Extended Trailer.webm
File:Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2 - Expert Mission 2 Gameplay - PS4, X1, Steam.webm
File:Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2 - Hit Full Character Trailer - PS4, X1, Steam.webm
File:DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 — HERO OF JUSTICE PACK 1 Launch Trailer.webm
File:Dragon Ball Xenoverse E3 Announcement Trailer (Spanish).webm

The rest could be kept as audio-only, if relevant. TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 19:56, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
Don't those videos also contain characters that Bandai Namco didn't create? (Oinkers42) (talk) 01:45, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
As I said, those videos can also be kept if some original manga/anime is blurred (Also File:DRAGON BALL FighterZ - E3 2017 Reactions.webm could be kept with minimal blacking). TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 20:19, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
Comment Was Bandai Namco the publisher of these games? Because I remember the Witcher 3 videos getting undeleted because of their publishing deal. Dabmasterars [EN/RU] (talk/uploads) 18:29, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
I assume they're. Namco has been a publisher since Nintendo Famicom times, so they must be the publisher (I Checked Dragon Ball FighterZ, and they're. Also for Xenoverse). TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 19:34, 26 April 2026 (UTC)

My current computer does not allow me to edit videos, but File:Dragon Ball Fusions - Announcement Trailer - 3DS.webm does not include any character from the original manganime until minute 1:30. With minimal blacking, it can be kept.--TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 20:25, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

It includes Shenron in the first 17 seconds. Mikirito 07 (talk) 20:29, 5 May 2026 (UTC)

Igwiki appears to have an article on that guy (w:ig:Tochukwu Ezebube) and it looks like he authored several books on cooking and gardening. (Can't really tell if the books are self-published or not, but they are available on Amazon.) Nakonana (talk) 19:09, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

The U.S. government probably did not take that photo. Every website where I have found this photo tells me two things.
1. The photo is from 1998
2. It is from a news conference
3. They credit the Associated Press or the AFP.
We don't know who the actual author is, so we should not have this photo on Commons. Minermatt122514 (talk) 18:26, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

Keep It is blurry. But it's the only one I can see of this subject (File:Vihorlat Museum in Humenné - Ethnographic open-air museum - Blacksmith's workshop ('smithy') from Nechválova Polianka, interior, summer (August 2006) 01.jpg isn't the same) and I'm always very reluctant to start deleting on quality grounds. We have lots of INUSE that are much worse than this. Andy Dingley (talk) 21:19, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
The fact that shitty images are INUSE somewhere is not exactly a strong argument for keeping this one.
Generally speaking as one of the largest image repositories (with weird categories and a bad search engine) I think we could be slightly more selective than we are now. Isderion (talk) 21:30, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
If this was worse, I might agree. But it's not blurry enough to be unusable, at least not at typical screen sizes. Andy Dingley (talk) 22:01, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
