Comment. This building looks quite old. Do you have any evidence that this is still copyrighted? IronGargoyle (talk) 14:52, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

File:731st Airlift Squadron MAFFS emblem.jpg
It is not from the cited source. The only place I could find the image was at https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/usaf-patch-731st-airlift-sqdn-75221734 Lineagegeek (talk) 23:55, 3 November 2025 (UTC) (hit the wrong button) The site is a commercial site and there is no indication that it is not subject to copyright (claimed to be free of copyright as created by an airman as part of official duties). Searching by the unit name provides no government source to back this claim up. Lineagegeek (talk) 23:59, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- Official 731st Airlift Squadron MAFFS insignia per https://www.302aw.afrc.af.mil/, https://www.dafhistory.af.mil/.
- insignia free of copyright as created by an airman as part of official duties. Retro737 (talk) 20:34, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
- Neither of the two web sites linked in the previous comment contains the image, much less states that is either official or free from copyright, and should be ignored. Please stop falsifying references. For "official" insignia, refer to Air Force Instruction 84-105. Lineagegeek (talk) 23:14, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
- Personally issued, 731st Airlift Squadron issued MAFFS morale patch. Morale patch free of copyright as created by an airman as part of official duties. https://www.patchgallery.com/displayimage.php?pid=60107 Retro737 (talk) 23:44, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
- I see you have removed all source information, including the source you quoted in this discussion. I see that the image shown at that location has an overprint of www.PatchGallery.com, which does not appear the image on Wikimedia Commons. Also, as you describe it, it is a morale "patch", not a morale "emblem." So instead of an incorrect source, there is now no source and no explanation for why the image as it appears on the source differs from the image on Commons.Lineagegeek (talk) 23:41, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- Giving a last chance to redeem this image before deletion. 1. provide the correct source in the listing (presumable the patch gallery) 2. Explain why the image as it appears on Wikimedia differs from the source you cited and give credit as well to whoever made the changes. 3. Give credit to the individual who uploaded the image to Patch Gallery. With your comments, I am willing to accept that it was designed by a member of the squadron, but the other potential copyright violations need to be addressed.
