The SC-HART program provides hoist rescue capabilities over water or mountainous terrain; each team consists of a UH-60 Black Hawk Army helicopter—or a LUH 72A Lakota--with a crew of four Soldiers and one-to-three civilian rescue-swimmers. It’s a joint program between the State Urban Search and Rescue Task Force (SC-TF1)--Office of the State Fire Marshal, S.C. Emergency Management Division--and the S.C. Army National Guard.
