| Description |
English: Composed photograph of full moon. Luminance channel taken with a Celestron 11 telescope, RGB color with an 130/1200mm Apo refractor.
The luminance channel and the RGB channels were taken separately. For the luminance channel a Celestron 11 telescope with an ASI120MM-S camera was used. Each video contained about 1800 frames and covered a very small area on the moon only. To cover the entire moon, therefore, a panorama containing 74 views had to be constructed. The capturing process (steering the telescope and triggering the camera) was controlled automatically with the MoonPanoramaMaker software. The frames of each video were stacked using the PlanetarySystemStacker software. The RGB color images were recorded using a 130/1200mm Apo refractor with a Canon 5D MK II camera. A total of 542 images of the four quadrants were captured. The images of each quadrant were stacked with the PlanetarySystemStacker software and combined into a panorama. Finally, The L and RGB channels were combined using the PlanetarySystemLRGBAligner software. All three software products (MoonPanoramaMaker, de:PlanetarySystemStacker and PlanetarySystemLRGBAligner) were written by the author of the image. |
