This is the beginnings of a small photographic album in my user space. Note the green button on the top right which opens a slideshow.

Many photographs involve subjects relating to nature or places in Germany. And the image quality has improved over time through better equipment. More recently, I have taken to documenting aspects of the climate movement.

I use GIMP for editing raster files, Inkscape for creating vector art, and ExifTool for adding and managing metadata.

Early photographs

Some were shot on an inexpensive Nikon Coolpix P330 pointandshoot camera purchased in March 2013.

Nature

Weight considerations mean that I often use a Sony DSCRX100M7 compact camera when photographing nature.

People

I like to photograph people using a Sony a6700 mirrorless cropframe camera fitted with either a Sony SEL 70–350mm F4.5-6.3 G OSS telezoom lens, a Sigma 56mm F1.4 DC DN portait lens, or a Sigma 23mm F1.4 DC DN fast mild wide angle lens  depending on how close I can get.

Many of my subjects are either climate activists or systems scientists speaking in public.

Events

Things

Fall of communism in 1989

I traveled in Czechoslovakia and East Germany as a tourist during the fall of communism in lateNovember 1989. And shot in both black and white and color negative film.

These images are sometimes just a matter of redrafting prior material to sidestep copyright.
