Deutsch: Welcher vnuerursacht / Dise leych hat gemacht / Sol komen in die mordtacht. Holzschnitt aus der Bambergischen Halsgerichtsordnung: Der Richter und die Schöffen sitzen um einen Erschlagenen und beschließen die Mordacht über den abwesenden Täter. Rechts berührt der Gerichtsdiener die Bahre mit dem Stab.
English: Whoever without cause / has made this dead body / shall be outlawed. Woodcut from the Criminal Code of Bamberg: The judge and the lay judges sit around a dead body and declare the perpetrator in absentia to be outlawed. On the right, the bailiff taps the stretcher with his staff.
