מפעילי מערכת הם משתמשים בעלי יכולות טכניות בויקישיתוף ל:

  • למחוק ולבטל מחיקה של תמונות וקבצים שהעלו אחרים, ולצפות ולשחזר גרסאות שנמחקו
  • למחוק ולבטל מחיקה של דפים, ולצפות ולשחזר גרסאות שנמחקו
  • להגן ולבטל הגנה על דפים, ולערוך דפים המוגנים על ידי מפעיל
  • לחסום ולבטל חסימה של משתמשים, כתובות IP בודדות וטווחי כתובות IP
  • לערוך הודעות ממשק עם פחות הגבלות (ראו גם ויקישיתוף:עורכי ממשק)
  • לשנות שם של קבצים
  • להוסיף ולהסיר קבוצות משתמשים
  • להגדיר מסעות פרסום של אשף ההעלאה
  • למחוק ולבטל מחיקה של רשומות יומן ספציפיות וגרסאות של דפים
  • לייבא דפים מאתרי ויקי אחרים
  • למזג את היסטוריית הדפים
  • לשנות מסנני שימוש לרעה
  • לא ליצור הפניות מדפי מקור בעת העברת דפים
  • לעקוף את בדיקות הזיוף ואת הרשימה השחורה של כותרת או שם משתמש

תפקיד הקהילה

מפעילים הם חברים מנוסים ואמינים בקהילת ויקישיתוף, אשר לקחו על עצמם עבודות תחזוקה נוספות וקיבלו את כלי הניהול בהסכמה/הצבעה ציבורית. למפעילים שונים יש תחומי עניין ומומחיות שונים, אך משימות ניהול אופייניות כוללות קביעה וסגירה של בקשות מחיקה, מחיקת הפרות זכויות יוצרים, שחזור מחיקת קבצים במידת הצורך, הגנה על ויקישיתוף מפני השחתות ועבודה על תבניות ודפים מוגנים אחרים. כמובן, חלק מהמשימות הללו יכולות להתבצע גם על ידי אנשים שאינם מפעילים.

מפעילים צפויים להבין את המטרות של מיזם זה, ולהיות מוכנים לעבוד בצורה בונה עם אחרים למען מטרות אלו. על מפעילים גם להבין ולפעול לפי המדיניות וההנחיות של ויקישיתוף, ובמידת הצורך, לכבד את הקונצנזוס של הקהילה.

מלבד תפקידים הדורשים שימוש בכלי הניהול, למפעילים אין סמכות עריכה מיוחדת מתוקף תפקידם, ובדיונים ובהצבעות ציבוריות תרומותיהם מטופלות באותו אופן כמו כל עורך רגיל. חלק מהמפעילים עשויים להיות בעלי השפעה רבה יותר, לא בזכות תפקידם ככאלה, אלא בזכות האמון האישי שזכו לו מהקהילה.

הסרת הרשאות המפעיל

תחת מדיניות ביטול הניהול, זכויות מפעיל עשויות להישלל עקב חוסר פעילות או שימוש לרעה בכלי מערכת הפעלה. בבקשת הסרת מפעיל, הסטנדרטים הרגילים לקביעת קונצנזוס בבקשת מינוי כמפעיל מערכת (RfA) אינם חלים. במקום זאת, יש להשתמש ב"קונצנזוס הרוב", לפיו כל קונצנזוס להורדה בדרגה של יותר מ-50% מספיק כדי להסיר את המפעיל.

הפוך למפעיל מערכת

כל המפעילים הפוטנציאליים חייבים לעבור תהליך זה ולהגיש את הבקשה למינוי כמפעיל מערכת (RFA) עבורם, כולל כל המפעילים לשעבר המבקשים לחזור לתפקידם הקודם.

הצבעה

כל משתמש רשום רשאי להצביע כאן, אם כי ייתכן שאלו שביצעו מעט עריכות קודמות או ללא עריכות כלל לא ייספרו במלואם. עדיף שתציינו נימוקים הן להצבעות תמיכה והן להצבעות התנגדות, שכן הדבר יסייע לבירוקרט הסגירה לקבל את החלטתו. משקל רב יותר ניתן לטיעון, עם ראיות תומכות במידת הצורך, מאשר להצבעה פשוטה.

קידום דורש בדרך כלל לפחות 75% בעד, עם מינימום של 8 קולות תמיכה. קולות ממשתמשים לא רשומים אינם נספרים. עם זאת, לבירוקרט הסוגר יש שיקול דעת בשיפוט קונצנזוס קהילתי, וההחלטה לא בהכרח תתבסס על המספרים הגולמיים. בירוקרטים רשאים, לפי שיקול דעתם, להאריך את תקופת הבקשה למינוי כמפעיל מערכת (RfA) אם הם סבורים שזה יהיה מועיל בקביעת קונצנזוס קהילתי טוב יותר.

Hello! I have been a Commons contributor since 2020 (with breaks), and have since been engaged in various activities on here, such as identifying copyright violations & insufficient file information, patrolling new uploads, create & contribute to deletion requests , categorizing images , help with batch uploads , import files from enwiki , convert raster images to vector images, doing licence reviews & generally working on many of the backlogs.

    For the "educational" part, we have a good description at COM:EDUSE: The material in question can "provide knowledge". It's very broad. The "realistic use" part is the trickier one, and it very often depends case-by case. I interpret it as the material in question not just theoretically being able to provide knowledge, but there also being actual, practical scenarios, where it would make sense to use the material in question to provide knowledge. A good indicator is I think: "Is there a page on any Wikimedia project where the file in question could be used?" (only an indicator, of course not limited to that)
    As example; compare a generic low quality image of a common animal (with no interesting qualities), where we also have a lot of high-quality images of vs. a low quality image of a very rare animal, where we have (almost) no other images of. In the first case, while the low quality image would theoretically provide knowledge about the animal, as in illustrating it, using it as such would not be realistic - as there is no reason to choose a low quality image over a high quality one. In the second case of course, if an illustration of the animal is wanted, the image basically has to be used because there is no alternative - the low quality image is realistically useful then. ~TheImaCow (talk) 21:00, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

    If I come across them, I will deal with them accordingly; warn them, and if they continue or if it is particularly vile type of vandalism, block them.

    It means that I disagree with interpretations of copyright/licencing which are baselessly extremely restrictive (when there is something up for interpretation). Examples are when some issues are not clearly defined in some local copyright laws, or in regards to COM:DM. One specific example is this DR, where the argument is basically "While Indonesian Government works are not protectable by copyright under Indonesian law, there is nothing in US copyright law stopping them from theoretically registering their works for copyright in the US, since we can't gurantee that they haven't/won't do that, we should delete them here." ~TheImaCow (talk) 08:47, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
