I wanted to avoid uploading an image with people's faces without their consent, so I used AI to remove them.

What's wikipedia's policy around this matter?

In the past people have uploaded images with blurry faces, I think this is somewhat similar, but nicer looking.

The files listed in the first half are clearly not DWs of the linked source. They are significantly different. In fact, the linked website is using the vector files here on Commons, which are freely licensed. In regards to the military symbols, "unauthorised use or display" is vague and not actually a copyright statement.  Delete. The uploader Rosart pretends that J.C. Hatterer & D. Emmel. are his friends, and that he has their permission , but nevertheless, he claimed that the work was his own. The fact that he made a scan from a published book instead of uploading the photographs themselves is a clue against him.

  • Ktkvtsh, it's not about whether something is a toy or not. Kites may be considered toys, but they are utilitarian. Being decorative is exactly the quality of something potentially copyrightable, no matter if that's a toy, statue, painting or teapot. This toilet seat cover should probably be judged as if it were a stuffed animal. However I'm not ruling out that some of the decorative parts might have a function that we're unaware of.
