UserRoleIndicator is an English Wikipedia user script by Bugghost, and is a fork of Novem Linguae's English Wikipedia user script UserHighlighterSimple. UserRoleIndicator adds an emoji next to the user link to indicate a user's role, rather than setting custom CSS on the link itself.

NovemBot, a bot operated by Novem Linguae, runs a script once a day which edits the bot's userspace to keep an accurate list of users who have permissions, for use with UserHighlighterSimple. UserRoleIndicator also uses NovemBot's list of users with permissions.

This bot will hopefully make minor adjustments to NovemBot's code to produce a list of users with Commons permissions, in the bot's userspace. This list would then hopefully allow the UserRoleIndicator script to be adjusted to work properly with Commons, with the fork User:Referentis/UserRoleIndicator.js.
