Summary

Description
English: This is reflectivity output of NCAR's CM1 program that I used to simulate a tornado-producing supercell thunderstorm. The netCDF output file was read with LLNL's VisIt analysis program. The input file was a forecast sounding for May 24, 2011—the day that the violent El Reno EF-5 tornado occurred. Mobile doppler radar recorded a maximum wind speed of 295 mph and the tornado resulted in 9 fatalities, 181 injuries.
