Een fotowedstrijd inspireert fotografen om mooie afbeeldingen te maken en ze daarna naar Commons te uploaden. De maandelijkse themawedstrijd moedigt deelnemers aan tot het uitproberen van nieuwe technieken en het ontwikkelen van nieuwe vaardigheden. Foto's die worden voorgedragen in de wedstrijd dienen nieuw te zijn en door een Commonsgebruiker te zijn gemaakt.

Wedstrijd

Wedstrijden zijn gebaseerd op een maandelijks thema. Het thema kan een concreet onderwerp,abstract concept, fotografische techniek of artistieke stijl zijn.

Deelnemen

Iedereen kan deelnemen aan openstaande wedstrijden. Je volgt simpel dit schema:

  1. Kies één of meerdere wedstrijden uit
  2. Lees de wedstrijdbeschrijving, die kan variëren in regelgeving (bijv., restricties op afbeeldingslocaties)
  3. Neem afbeeldingen voor wedstrijden tijdens de wedstrijdperiode (of, indien toegestaan, kies uit je nog niet op Commons geplaatste afbeeldingen)
  4. Upload je afbeeldingen tijdens de wedstrijdperiode
  5. Voeg je afbeeldingen toe bovenaan de huidige wedstrijdgalerij gedurende de wedstrijdperiode. Daarvoor klik je op de knop [Bewerken], op de sectie van de door jouw gekozen wedstrijd. Voeg je afbeelding toe boven de laatste toevoeging. (of boven File:-Insert image here-.svg de eerste toevoeging).
    Plaats je afbeelding tussen de <gallery> tags zoals aangeduid. Nieuwe afbeeldingen worden elk op een aparte lijn geplaatst, en bestaan uit de bestandsnaam, een verticale lijn |, en een beschrijving. Bijvoorbeeld:

    Voor syntaxhulp, zie: Help:Fotogalerij. Gelieve geen vierkante haakjes [[ ]] of thumb parameter of de volledige URL toe te voegen. De File: prefix is niet verplicht, maar kan geen kwaad.
  6. Gelieve geen gebruikershandtekening onder je afbeelding te plaatsen
  7. Ter inspiratie kan je altijd een kijkje nemen naar vorige wedstrijden en stemmingen

Alle Commonsgebruikers kunnen deelnemen aan de wedstrijden. De toegevoegde afbeeldingen dienen eigen werk te zijn en mogen niet al eerder op Commons zijn gepubliceerd, voorafgaand op de start van de wedstrijd. De afbeeldingen moeten de opinie van de fotograaf ten opzichte van het thema weergeven. Gelieve de wedstrijddetails te lezen, er kunnen bijkomende regels worden opgelegd bij bepaalde wedstrijden. Er is geen limiet op het aantal afbeeldingen per gebruiker (tenzij anders vermeld), maar kies er in elk geval je mooiste en meest gevarieerde afbeeldingen uit.

Om afbeeldingen toe te voegen bewerk je de galerij van de wedstrijd en voeg je jouw afbeelding(en) toe bovenaan de lijst.

Beoordeling

Als de wedstrijd is afgesloten, worden de foto's beoordeeld op populariteit in de daaropvolgende maand. Je kan stemmen op afbeeldingen van anderen als je Commonsaccount minstens 10 dagen oud is, en 50 bijdragen telt. Nieuwe gebruikers die deelnemen aan de wedstrijd hebben eveneens stemrecht. Er kan nu in deze wedstrijden nog gestemd worden.

Winnaars

De drie beste afbeeldingen zullen een podiumplaats worden toegekend. Deze foto's worden op de pagina van de fotowedstrijd weergegeven met het sjabloon {{Photo challenge winner}}

Gebruikers kunnen de de mediaviewer in hun voorkeuren voor alle afbeeldingen op Commons uitschakelen.

2026 – July – Disaster Rephotography

The new challenge features Rephotography of Disasters. Please submit a pair of photos for each entry where only the second one has to be your newly uploaded photo.

Ideally, each submission should contain a summary description of the subject in the file information, including the location of the subject, and relevant categories should be added to the files to enable other Commons users to find them and use them. Please take care not to violate copyright in respect of non-free creative works, and observe our educational project scope and the personality rights of identifiable people, or your files may be subject to deletion.

The challenge will remain open for submissions throughout July AoE.

Checklist for this theme:

  • Photographs must be the work of the nominator.
  • Photographs must be newly uploaded to Commons during the challenge submission period i.e. July 2026 AoE (but may have been taken earlier).
  • Submissions must be added to the top of the "Entries" section below.
  • Please do not nominate lots of similar photos; instead choose just your best and most varied images.

Add your entry between the <gallery> tags as indicated. Gallery entries are placed each on a new line, and consist of the filename, a vertical bar |, and a description. For example:

Stemming wedstrijd

Alle geregistreerde gebruikers met een account van minstens 10 dagen oud die minimaal 50 bewerkingen hebben gedaan kunnen deelnemen aan de stemming. Nieuwe Commonsgebruikers die deelnemen aan de wedstrijd kunnen eveneens stemmen. Let wel: Deelnemers kunnen niet op hun eigen afbeelding stemmen. Stemmers kunnen maximaal drie afbeeldingen per thema selecteren, zodat die afbeeldingen punten sprokkelen. Het is ook mogelijk lof uit te spreken over een afbeelding zonder dat je daarbij punten toekent. Stemmen kan gedurende één maand. Ongeldige stemmen worden verwijderd.
