This workshop is part of the Graphic Lab, a project aimed at picture retouching to improve the graphical content of the Wikimedia projects. This specific page is the requests page for the Illustration Workshop. Anyone can make a request for an illustration to be created or improved. The standard format for making a request is shown below, along with general advice, and should be followed. Many charts and graphs on the web are in the public domain. See Template:PD-chart; no need to create another free chart here if it already exists on the web.

Syrian government ministries

These are logos of ministries of the Syrian government. Could someone please convert them into SVG format?
The Syrian emblem (the golden eagle) can be taken from here: File:Emblem of Syria.svg.
The text must always be green (even when it is white in the JPG file), specifically this color: #002623.
In some cases, the Syrian emblem and the text are not centered but aligned to the right; however, in the SVG version they should be centered, like all the others.
The only exception is the last logo, which is slightly different from the others and must be kept exactly as it is in the SVG.
In other words, image number 1 can be used as an example of how all the others should be made, except for the last one.
The background must always be transparent. In the SVG, include only the emblem and the text in Arabic and in English.

@Cypp0847: Hi, I've added it as part of the image descriptions. As for the typeface, I’m not sure, but it should be the one the Syrian government has been officially using since 2025, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find. --Yeagvr (talk) 21:41, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

You can use OCR to get the text with
From there, enter the file's URL obtained by looking at the file in a browser (click on the image will on the file page and copy the URL).
Alternatively, you can obtain the file URL with wikitext and paste it into a URL.

Hello! Will you be able to tell which Arabic typeface is being used in these logos? We just need something close enough. It’s extremely tricky for us non speakers to tell which typeface might work the best. You may be able to find a few good typefaces from Google Fonts. 痛Designism (talk) 22:04, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
@痛 @Cypp0847 @Yeagvr These source typefaces are made of Kufic script typeface. (Note: I am not native speaker of Arabic) As I compared, Noto Kufi and Tajawal fonts on Google looks similar. Coat of arms of Spain before 1981

This coat of arms is the one used in the Spanish flag file before 1981. I would appreciate it if you could recreate this coat of arms in a high-quality image. It's just that I'm redrawing it in the current style. If you zoom in closely, there are crooked or misaligned parts everywhere, so it needs to be corrected. BIOT Arms Tweaking

The SVG of the BIOT arms is well made, but inaccurate and could do with a bit of a clean up. As you can see from the original drawings on the stamps, the right hand turtle has more natural colouring than the bright green in the SVG. The crown of St Edward should be in solid gold, not in colour, and the base colours of the union flag should be standardised to the Union Flag shades of red and blue. If someone is able to clean up the SVG file to make it more accurate, I would be hugely grateful. --Mangwanani (talk) 11:56, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

  • Create a fourth image by copying the first image and replacing the number 3 with the number 5 that's in the second image (the fourth image should look similar to the third image, but with the spacing and font of the first two).
  • Create four new copies (9, 10, 11, 12) of images 5, 6, 7, and 8, but with the red diagonal line taken from image 13.
  • Create two new copies (14 and 15) of the 5th sign, but with the white symbol horizontally aligned to the centre of the sign. The 15th image, in addition to being centred, should also have the red diagonal line added to it, like the previous images.

I suspect the emoji doesn't have an arrow because it's based on Twemoji12 1f4c8.svg, which also doesn't. Would you like a second version with an arrowhead? Are you picturing a rounded arrowhead to match the Twemoji style or a sharp one? —Ilzolende (talk) 05:39, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

Update of the Coat of Arms of Nauru (Amendment Acts 2019 & 2020)

I would like to request an update to the current SVG file of the Coat of Arms of Nauru. The existing version on Commons does not reflect the legal changes mandated by the Naoero National Anthem, Emblem and Flag Protection (Amendment) Act 2019 and the subsequent 2020 Amendment. The lower right section should contain a branch of 7 tomano (calophyllum) flowers with 6 leaves.
