Folk art made by students and school staff/faculty, and images taken in February 2023. In the Philippines these décors are typically seasonal, not year round, and may be tweaked or redesigned in the next season. These are non-permanent folk artworks. Google Street View imageries of the school do not show this folk art. There is no Freedom of Panorama in the Philippines for free distributions and publications of images of artworks in public spaces of the Philippines.

This seems to be the same monument being referred to by the Korea Times as the statue of Ahn Yong-bok in Suyeong Historical Park. According to w:ko:안용복#사후의 평가, it was installed in 1967. No sculptor or designer has been named, so assume this as an anonymous work. There is no commercial Freedom of Panorama in South Korea for anything in public still under their designers' copyrights.
The monument may fall out of copyright in South Korea 70+1 years after 1967 (assuming it remains an anonymous work), considering it was caught by copyright extensions in 1987 and 2013 in accordance with Commons:Copyright rules by territory/South Korea#Pre-1963 deaths, organization works. However, being a pre-1978 non-architectural artwork and due to COM:URAA, it will only fall out of copyright in the United States 95+1 years after year of first publication or 120 years after the year of creation, whichever is shorter. - According to the render is the property of Royal Associate Architects and I doubt a commercial architectural studio would allow their work to be licenced for commercial use. The document is licenced as CC 3.0 attribution but that does not mean everything within that document is licenced that way and the image in the document is credited, although not to the architectural firm oddly enough. Traumnovelle (talk) 03:21, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- It’s not uncommon that when you work for a government agency that has implemented NZGOAL that your outputs that they will use will have to be supplied with a free license in order to comply with NZGOAL.
- My company certainly had those conditions in our NZTA contracts for research projects that were to be published with a free license. Schwede66 04:34, 1 February 2026 (UTC)

According to this site, the Confucius statue was "donated by Qingdao, China." One can guess it is less than 70 years old from this clue, and considering the fact that Beijing and Seoul only established formal diplomatic relations in 1988 per w:en:China–South Korea relations, this statue cannot be pre-1988. Since there is no commercial Freedom of Panorama in South Korea, Wikimedia Commons cannot host images of contemporary monuments in South Korea that are still under their designers' copyrights, like this one. - I would like to clarify the basis of my deletion request beyond personal discomfort.
- Although a VRT ticket from 2017 is referenced, the permission was given without a full understanding that the license granted was irrevocable and allowed unrestricted reuse, including commercial reuse, outside of an encyclopedic context. My intention at the time was limited and did not reflect informed consent as required by Commons licensing standards.
- Additionally, I am not a public figure of enduring notability, and the image does not provide significant current encyclopedic value. Its continued availability primarily facilitates broad reuse unrelated to documentation or education.
- Given the lack of informed consent at the time of submission and the minimal public interest served by continued publication, I respectfully request reconsideration of this file’s retention under Commons privacy and licensing principles. ~2026-74807-7 (talk) 10:26, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

Comment, redirects should not be deleted; they are created for a reason. Remember: Filenames are not only intended for Wikimedia projects, but are also used outside of Wikipedia on external sites over which we have no control. Deleting redirects would render the file unusable on an external website. זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes 00:56, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Boston Mayflower (talk) 18:20, 29 December 2024 (UTC)
- The situation is complex, due to the history of Egypt, Syria, and the United Arab Republic, which is why there are multiple files that at first glance appear to be duplicates. It is impossible to provide all the different information in a single file name. File:Roundel of the Syrian Air Force.svg and File:Roundel of Syria.svg need to be restored and remain individual files. The namespace "Roundel of Syria" will be updated at the appropriate time, but we are a long way away from that. Fry1989 eh? 22:05, 30 December 2024 (UTC)

File:Board of Peace logo (2).png
It's unclear where this version of the Board of Peace logo originated from. The source image File:Board of Peace logo.png started off as a cropped still from a video (https://x.com/WhiteHouse/status/2014298110911025251/photo/1) and was later replaced with a low res image of the logo shared to the White House account (https://x.com/WhiteHouse/status/2014339243221434783/photo/1) when that became available.
On 23 January User:Jasper Chu overwrote the file with a higher resolution version which appears to be AI upscaled (on each side there's a small leaf that became a floating blob, and a twig without a leaf). They didn't give a source for this version, their upload summary was Changed logo to pdf
.
User:Coleisforeditor then removed some empty space from Chu's image and cropped it to generate this second file. In uploading it they added the claim that the image was "AI generated; prompted by the Board of Peace", but kept the same x.com source.
(I've since reverted File:Board of Peace logo.png back to the original lower resolution x.com image.)
There was a thread at en:Talk:Board_of_Peace#Wrong_logo about this logo not being the correct one. I pinged Jasper Chu there a few days ago but didn't get a response. If this image is taken from another ("pdf"?) source where the White House created a version of their logo with some errors, we should link to that source. (I can't find any obvious candidate for what that PDF would be.) If the errors are from a Commons user asking an AI to upscale a lower res image, we presumably shouldn't be hosting it at all. Belbury (talk) 17:47, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
- Keep: The file should be kept, as it provides encyclopedic value over the version with text for applications such as infoboxes and discussing the image itself (see w:Board of Peace#Symbols). The original appears to be AI generated, see the world map, in which a border appears with Canada but not with Mexico, between Latin American countries, and with Alaska, the Carribean islands appear malformed, the background lines are inconsistently separated and wonky and at points do not appear, etc. This image is cropped to remove the Board of Peace text; the name of this file originally reflected that but was changed amid a disagreement over the terminology used to describe it (seal vs logo) on enwp. I have redone the crop based on the image currently at File:Board of Peace logo.png, which I can assure you has been cropped manually. This probably could've been on the images talk page, given there have been no reasons for deletion raised besides the image being based on an AI upscale, which has already been fixed without deletion. @Jasper Chu: I doubt I will get a response if no one else has got one, but if you could provide a source for the pdf you sourced the image from that would be greatly appreciated. - Isn't the simple shape of this artwork below the ToO? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:57, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- No, imo, it appears to be more than a simple representation of a geometric shape, especially given its material composition (dozens of individual bronze panels combined to form a larger work, not just a large, smooth, bronze shape). Visually, it is two large abstract nonstandard geometric forms: first, a large, bulbous form not unlike a half-shoe facing upwards that has been elongated to monumental height; and a much smaller, curved wedge form that abuts the flat surface of the larger element, visually appearing like a structural support. When combined together, the forms do not appear like a simple representation of a standard geometric shape. As rendered in individual bronze panels and combined together, the forms seem to rise well above the threshold in the U.S.
- Martin Puryear has definitely made some works that are probably below the ToO line, but to me, this does not appear to be one of them. 19h00s (talk) 16:25, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

Marcus Cyron (talk) 16:04, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
Keep societies can't hold copyright according to German law. Only real persons can be copyright holders. Furthermore, the copyright appears to have expired, and the text is formulaic anyway. Nakonana (talk) 16:14, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- Societies in Germany can hold the exclusive rights of use ("ausschliessliche Nutzungsrechte") if they were transferred to them by the copyright holder which isn't exactly the same as holding the copyright, but amounts to about the same in practice, see de:Nutzungsrecht; so, it's possible that the Magnus-Hirschfeld-Gesellschaft was the holder of the rights of use of Hirschfeld's works until 2005 (70 years after Hirschfeld's death), but these would have then expired with the expiration of copyright, too. Gestumblindi (talk) 18:36, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

- --Goesseln (talk) 23:06, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
Gestumblindi (talk) 11:16, 14 February 2026 (UTC)
