The function $\operatorname {pq} (u,m)$ will have a zero at the $\mathrm {p}$ corner and a singularity at the $\mathrm {q}$ corner. The quarter periods are defined by $K=K(m)$ and $K'=K(1-m)$ where $K(\cdot )$ is the elliptic integral of the first kind.
