Introduction

This section describes guidelines for adding structured data to recordings of conference presentations (e.g. presentations at WikidataCon, EmacsConf, rC3, etc.).

List of properties

• main subject (P921) main subject of this presentation
• language used (P2936) languages used by the speaker
• inception (P571) date of the generation of the recording of the conference talk, which should be equivalent to date field in {{Information}} template
• point in time (P585) date relevant to the presentation itself
• part of (P361) conference this presentation belongs to
• created during (P10408) conference this media file was created during

Note: For Wikimedia Commons the described entity is the media file, i.e., the recording of the conference talk, not the conference talk itself. Thus, a property statement instance of (P31) conference presentation (Q110156968) should not be added, since the video file is not a conference presentation; it is a recording of a conference presentation. Also, note that there can be multiple recordings from different point of views of the same conference presentation. On the other hand, the presentation slide deck from the talk would have presented in (P5072) .
