· English: Needles and pins Note that this gallery cannot be complete. What is called a "needle" and what is not is strongly language-dependent. Rods rotaning in a mechanical clock are called "needle" in some languages, in other ones they are not. Thin long green structures on some trees are called "needle" in some languages, in other ones they are not. Straight pins (auxilliary tools for sewing) are called "needle" in some languages, in other ones they are not.
