American-style Emblem of a Minestry in Colombia. Might have been in use from 2008 to 2022. Adtonko (talk) 11:51, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
@Adtonko: I do not understand what you mean by "American-style", even which meaning of the ambiguous term American ("of the United States" or "of the Americas"? And what does that mean in terms of style?). What evidence is there that this symbol (or any of the other related symbols that have been DR'd) was ever in actual use? - Jmabel ! talk 19:55, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
The Wayback Machine provides your answer, if you take one of thier websites.
and yes, 'US-style' would have been a better term. Adtonko (talk) 22:20, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Telling me that the answer can be found somewhere on a site that contains over a trillion files does not help me determine whether it was used by the Colombian government or not. Do you have a URL for some page on the Internet Archive that shows the Colombian government using this, or not? - Jmabel ! talk 05:17, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
for funcion publica - no, but this: https://web.archive.org/web/20170128193503/https://www.minminas.gov.co/ Adtonko (talk) 14:08, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
It should be noted that the Emblem is in .ico as favicon and in combination with Words on the site itself. Adtonko (talk) 14:27, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
@Adtonko: I'm not seeing that for a favicon, I'm seeing (at various dates) the one at https://web.archive.org/web/20170602014909/https://minminas.gov.co/favicon.ico. Can you give a URL for where you see this as a favicon?
Also, yes I do see near the upper left of https://web.archive.org/web/20170128193503/https://www.minminas.gov.co/ (left of the name "MINMINAS") something that somewhat resembles this coat of arms. It's so small that it is hard to be confident of the degree of resemblance. The lettering there is so small as to be impossible to read, but certainly does not correspond to the lettering on this file. - Jmabel ! talk 21:42, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

That is way too small to be readable, i concur. Adtonko (talk) 13:04, 17 April 2026 (UTC)

Adtonko has demonstrated that something like this was sometimes used, on a tiny scale in a favicon with no legible text. I agree that despite low legibility it is reasonable to assume that the figure in the favicon is the national coat of arms of Colombia. I'm not at all sure that use in a favicon justifies the presence of over a dozen similar SVGs with different text and different colors in the circular border. At the very least, if they are to be kept without further evidence of real-world use, each should carry a note about the limited evidence of this having had even de facto use by the Colombian government. - Jmabel ! talk 19:59, 17 April 2026 (UTC)

I have started an inquiry at the embasy of Colombia here, asking if they had these Emblems in use, at all. I don't know when they will come back to me. Adtonko (talk) 20:08, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
